1  HOME SWEET HOME / Interior Decorating: Discussion and Questions / painting a faux slate floor? on: January 17, 2007 02:08:43 PM
Does anybody know how to make a faux slate floor? My basement has a concrete floor that is a real ugly and I have heard of people painting a faux slate floor. I've never painted a floor before so any tips would be greatly appreciated.
2  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Scrapbooking: Discussion and Questions / wallpaper on: March 17, 2006 07:51:52 PM
Just a helpful tip that I have picked up though my scrapbooking days. When I am running low on paper I go to my local Sherman & Williams or any pait/wallpaper store and ask them if they have any sample wallpaper book that they don't need anymore or have expired. Most stores will be glad to give them to you for free.

The book are usualy big and contain a lot of paper that can be used as actual pages or for backgrounds. The paper is really nice and thick. I've used it for making cards also.

Hope this helps some people!
