1  FIBER ARTS / Spinning: Completed Projects / Oh My ! Lookie at all of my new skeins and whatnot on: August 19, 2007 07:37:07 PM

I am a teacher and since I have been off all summer I have been spinning my little heart out.
I love some of my new skeins!

I wonder if maybe this just happens to me, but some of my best color combos happen when I am down to my last bits of dyed fiber and I just spin it all together and see what develops.

here are two shirts that I just made today. I used vintage scans and sewed them onto some great fabric.

it is a little hard to see but that first shirt says "I love smart boys"

hehee, I was just coming on to post those pictures....I have been so busy!

anyway, thanks again for everything anakarina ...now when I ship something out, it gets cupcake and crossbones stamp on it.

you did forget the pictures of the church and the seashells, which I really loved too...it was sweet since it kind of let me get a feel for where you live.

New Jersey was very cold and dark when my package came ; )

cross fingers that I get in again

I walked thru the Art Star last year.  It was raining I believe both days, so there wasnt a great turn out.  It is a great idea, and I hope the people that had a table did good, but there was so much of the "same" stuff, that I wonder if they made at least the money back on the space (I think it was like $100).  I wish you the best of luck and maybe I will see you there. Smiley

Yeah, it was pretty rough because of the rain and I really didn't make too much money, but it was still worth going.

oh and I got in again this year! Yay!

I got my package from maiziemama weeks ago but I just got around to posting pics. I couldn't even wait and spun up the fiber into this really super pretty red, fire plied mix.I added in slubs of red Angelina Fiber and strings of red and orange novelty yarn scraps.
I was sooooo happy with the outcome.
