21  Little embroidered pouch... in Needlework: Completed Projects by kantha_stich on: February 23, 2007 11:14:43 AM
I posted this in the bag forum and I guess my bag making skills are sub par....because I got no feedback...

Maybe in this forum...?  The embroidery on the front was inspired by a cherry blossom bag I saw a few months ago on craftster...

Soo feed back?  Please?

Voila!
The front!

The back, portion of a line from my favourite Edith Piaf song.

And pink scrap interior.

My first love is embroidery...and as of late I've combined it with my growing love of bag/pouch making...

Here's something I made for my sister in law...be gentle...I'm still new to the bag making thing....

Voila!
The front!

The back, portion of a line from my favourite Edith Piaf song.

23  Re: 1/2 Dozen Fat Quarters Swap in The Swap Gallery by kantha_stich on: February 20, 2007 09:44:36 AM
Alibeachgirl sent me a great bundle...I've been really busy with sick kids and so have been remiss in posting them.  I'm heading to the sewing room right now so that I can get a nice little snap and post them.  Sorry Alibeachgirl!

***edit***

Here they are!!

I recieved my fabric from igobymomof2 yesterday!  And I adore all of it...

Here's the lot of it...

And my favourite among the lot

Thank you so much!  I hope you like what I sent...all of a sudden I have even more swap anxiety!

PS...I LOVE that Moo fabric....I have got to figure out a cool way to use it...most likely I'll just mount it on a canvas as is and hang it up in my sewing room...or maybe use it as a backing for and applique cow....I love cows!  Thanks so much again!

I'm so glad you got everything...I was really worried about those tea cups!  It was great fun crafting for you!

After a brief scare last night....my husband emerged from the night (10pm) with my package held aloft in victory.  Our Mail carrier had left it on the other side of the garage!!

Oh the goodies Dragonslair sent us!!!  THanks so much, the children LOVE their little mascots.

The yummy tea!  I had some of that breakfast tea this morning!!

The great decoupaged journal...I'm going to use this as my new project journal.

A cool decoupaged box that's going into my craft room and is going to hold my machine threads and bobbins!!

A cool tea towel imprinted with TEA!  I think I'm going to recno this into an apron...DOesn't it just scream apron?

And of course...the fabulous crocheted pals for my kids.  I think dragonslair looked at my wists...

Thank you so much!
