Whee! I recieved from our lovely organizer today! Which totally cheered me up cause I was having a horrid day at work...

She sent me the greatest package!


A mermaid plushie, a faerie notebook, faerie notecards, some netting, a starfish, and a decorated wooden shell!

Well, the usps site informs me that teenage_moth has recieved her package, so I suppose I'll post pics.


I made her a little Jordy bag with Zoidberg embroidered on one side (It was my first attempt at embroidering too!), a lined zippered pouch with Zoidberg on one side and most of the gang on the other, two large glass marble magnets featuring Zoidberg, and a regular magnet featuring the robot devil.


I hope she liked everything, I wouldn't know, since I have not heard from her...

She sent me the GREATEST fry bag. It's gigantic and I absolutely love it! And it's hand painted! Also, three lovely hand painted magnets, a gorgeous hand painted box and a Bender plushie!!!

Y'know.. I was wondering about selling items featuring copyrighted charas on etsy too....  I read and reread the TOS and such.. but nothing pops out at me and says NO!.. lol

I have seen items with characters like Hello Kitty and Superman... so one would assume it would be ok.. but we all know what happens when you assume! lol  I would like to be able to paint a few more totes and handbags with different charas from different shows and sell them.. but I'm paranoid about copyright violations and such....I suppose I'll just have to look into it more..

oh.. just to show it off, cause I haven't posted it in here yet.. I made this tote for the [adult swim] craft swap... painted this one too. It's features Haruko from FLCL...  my swap partner liked it. 

My friend wanted me to make her a tote bag with Stewie from family guy on it. She picked out the fabric, the pic and the quote.  I won't get to give it to her until tomorrow.. I hope she likes it! I think it came out cute and the butterfly patterned lining looked better than I initially thought it would.

Stewie and the quote are painted on with acrylic paints. And I even managed to include a zippered pocket!

So.. while browsing the forum, I saw mckincrispy's shirring tutorial and I wanted to try it... so after a lovely trip to JoAnn Fabrics where it took me forever to find the elastic thread.. and too much time spent winding bobbins and trying to make my machine want to cooperate.. I finally ended up with this shirt.

I was getting tattooed on my shoulders today, and I couldn't find any of my halter tops, so I figured I could just maybe whip one of these out... yeah... Needless to say, after a few hours, I ended up with a shirt, and I wore it today.. and I'm actually quite pleased with it. I even got a compliment from the tattoo guy!

I also made an Irish shirt for St. Patty's day, since I wanted something open for my tat... The fabric was flannel, so it was super comfy, but was a bit bulkier. I like it anyways...

I got so much stuff! I was so surprised! And it was the greatest package ever!
There was a beautifully embroirdered tote, gorgeous jewelry box filled with two necklaces, a keychain, a bracelet and a shrinky dink, a cute little Kagome figurine, a duct tape pouch filled with candies, some stickers and a beautiful blue scarf!

There's a great hipslinger geisha bag. I LOVE the fabric, it's sooo pretty! A cute decorated tin that was filled with magnets that had the geisha fabric on the,, strawberry pocky, Japanese gum which I'm dying to try.. and the greatest glass bead I have ever seen in my entire life! It's so gorgeous! I can't wait to make something with it!

OMG! I recieved from BrklynGal today.. and I love my new clutch! It's absolutely gorgeous and I was really lucky to have her as a partner! I hope you like what I made for you as much as I like what you made for me!

I love the denim look and the lining was sooo awesome! The colors and the pattern are great! And the pin was a great touch! Thanks again!
