61  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Discussion and Questions / Eyes for Amigurumi? on: May 03, 2006 07:54:57 PM
I've seen the cute and small doll eyes on many Amigurumi here....where can I find these at? Any local (like Hobby Lobby, Micheals) or online sources would be appreciated.  Also what size do you use?

62  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Discussion and Questions / Book Purse Question... on: January 02, 2006 12:54:51 PM
I've searched and searched and I just can't find a post or anything like what I"m looking for.

I'm getting my materials and stuff to make a book purse, and wanted to use something like Grommets to attach my straps.

Do you think the grommets will go all the way through?  What size should I use? I've never used grommets before, so I don't know much about them.

Any suggestions?

63  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Discussion and Questions / Where do you find.... on: December 06, 2005 08:09:27 PM
Where can I find the clear plastic that is used in the wallets and ipod covers?  I want to make both an Ipod cover and a wallet and my choices are pretty limited in my area.  We have a Micheals, Hobby Lobby, and Walmart.  Are there any online stores I can purchase this at?

Thanks!

64  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Discussion and Questions / Newbie w/ Question-- Purse Lining on: December 04, 2005 09:47:35 AM
Newbie here.  First off, I LOVE this site.  My project list has quadrupled since I found this place!

Anywhoo,
I've made a few bags and I can't seem to get the lining right.  I always seem to cut the lining too small.  Is there any sort of guideline as to how much smaller you should cut your lining? In my case I'm about a 1/4" too small once I've got the lining pinned and ready to sew into the bag.

Any ideas or tips on deciding how much smaller to cut your lining?  I've searched and searched and can't find a good answer.
