Craftster member who is organizing this swap: SevsOnlyGirl
Sign-up date range: 1/8/07 - 1/22/07
Date to send item by: 2/22/07

Limited to a certain number of people? (optional): Nope

Restricted to people who all live in the same country? NO
If so, which country?

All ages allowed? Or 18+? all ages, but be sure that you have a ride to the PO by the sendout date!  Also, parental permission if you are under 18

Swap Organizer himself/herself meets these conditions:
- Has fully read the Swap Info Guide: YES
- Has successfully completed two swaps as a participant: YES
- Is not organizing more than three swaps right now: YES
- Will recruit a co-organizer or give all details to a Swap Moderator if this swap has more than 25 participants: YES

Swap Organizer will check each participant to make sure they meet these conditions:
- Has been a member for at least one month: YES
- Has posted at least 15 times: YES
- Has completed one swap successfully before signing up for multiple swaps at a time: YES
- Is not currently signed up for more than five swaps: NO
- Does not have any negative feedback: NO

Details of swap:
This is a swap for all the HP 'shippers out there!  It doesn't matter which 'ship you're on, you're welcome here.  You can choose a 'ship from the book, a book character and an OC character, whatever you like.  You do have to be okay with crafting for a 'ship that you may not be in favor of though.  Be prepared! Grin  We will be doing one large craft, 1 medium and 1 small.  You are welcome to talk to your partner and do more if you like, but that is the minimum.

We do have a month to craft, so that should be plenty of time for some really fantastic HP crafts.

If you want to participate, information to send to organizer:

QUESTIONNAIRE TO ANSWER:
Name of swap
Craftster username
Email address
Your real name
Mailing address
Would you be willing to ship to an address outside of the US?

What is YOUR 'ship?
What is it that you like about that couple/why should they be together?
Any information your partner might need to know about that couple?
Are there any fanfictions that involve this couple that make you swoon?
Any items that you would just have fits over (the good kind!) if your partner could make them?
Any allergies/dislikes?
Anything else that will help your partner craft for you?

NOTES FROM ORGANISER:
1.  I MUST hear from you when you SEND and RECEIVE.  I WILL NOT look through the gallery to find your post.  If I do not hear from you, comments to that effect will be left with feedback.  More than a few days late with no communication and NEGATIVE feedback WILL be left.  This feedback will not be changed until your partner receives.

2.  In Progress  status will be added to your profile when you sign up, NOT when the signups end.

3.  New swap rules indicate you cannot be participatine in more than 5 swaps at once. I cannot make an exception to this rule.  If this swap will put you at 6 in progress swaps, you cannot joinsorry.

4.  Everyone who is sending a package within the boundaries of their own country is obligated to use a delivery confirmation/tracking number. This is for your own protection, and it's Craftster's rule, not mine. If your country makes it prohibitively expensive to use delivery confirmation or tracking, even when sending packages domestically, PM me and save your receipt from the post office.

5.  It's a good idea to take a picture of your package before you send it.

6.  PM me and your partner with your DC number when you send. PM me and your partner when you receive, and thank your partner. Post pictures in the gallery within a reasonable time afterwards.  If you don't have a digital camera, you can still join the swap, just make sure your partner knows about the lack of picture taking ability early on, so that they can take all the pictures they want as they go.

(Some notes above blatantly stolen from the wonderful Miss_Violaceous and Kristen81 - they both rock!)

IF YOU WANT TO PARTICIPATE, REMEMBER TO SEND YOUR INFO TO ORGANIZER VIA PRIVATE MESSAGE AND NOT TO REPLY WITH IT HERE.

Also remember to read the Swap Info Guide to find out how to ship your item and other details about participating in a swap.

193  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Harry Potter Fave 'Ship (Relationship) on: December 29, 2006 06:34:27 AM
Quite awhile back, we did a poll on what HP swaps were wanted, we did 3 of the ones voted on and then people lost interest in the specific ones.  Here's the thread: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=93598.70

Is anyone interested in doing a Favorite 'Ship swap still?  Whatever your 'ship, feel free to post it.  Personally I'm a Hermione/Snape shipper.  Yeah, I know it's not even close to likely, but I don't care.  They are the same person! Grin  I know there's a lot of Draco/Harry and Tonks/Lupin fans too.

I'm thinking of doing signups the end of January for two weeks with sendout the first or second week of March.  That gives a lot of time for crafting.  I'm thinking of 1 large craft and 2-3 medium/small crafts.

Anyone interested?

Okay, that should definitely account for everyone.  There is a 3-some at the end as we had an odd number - 55!  I'm hoping that you all will be pleasantly surprised by finding you have something in common with your partner.  I'll be sending the info out by PM's later today.

198  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Christmas Stocking Swap 2? on: October 03, 2006 08:14:44 AM
Would anyone be interested in a Christmas Stocking Swap 2?  I see that there was one last year, but I hadn't been here long enough to join in the fun.

Here's a link to the gallery from last year: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=65995.0

The idea is to make a stocking between 12-16 inches high (heel to cuff) and to fill it.  I would say that you would need to craft the stocking and 50% of the stuff that you fill it with.  You could purchase the other 50% of the filling stuff.

I'm wondering if there should be a set amount to spend on filling or if partners should be allowed to discuss and decide amongst themselves.

Any ideas?  Any interest?  I was thinking signups from October 16 - 29 with sendouts November 20th.  That would be 3 weeks of crafting and even overseas shippers should be okay by Christmas.

Details of swap:
Mommy & Me is for Craftster Mommies to get time to craft with their children for another Craftster Mommy and her children.  The children must be involved in the crafting (unless they are way too little).  You'll be sending 1 large and 2-3 small items or 2 medium and 2-3 small items.  You can always send extras as long as you communicate with your partner and agree upon the amount.  Mommies are free to make one small craft all by themselves for the other Mommy, but the majority of the crafts should be for the children.  Yes, if you have a baby that can't craft, you can still join.  I'll try to pair up baby moms so it works out well for you!
