Your kitchen is adorable and the "curtains" look really cute!

I love Alton Brown too - he taught me how to make pancakes properly!

How fantastic for you!  I know how exciting that first book is - my sister is getting her first published this year too.  It's a harrowing journey, isn't it?LOL

Congratulations Leah!!

Dooney - I need a hubby like yours!  Mine doesn't bring me home anything fun at all Sad

YKYACW:  you finish decorating cupcakes for your son to take to daycare and you've emptied the sprinkles jar and think that you couldn't possibly throw it away - I mean, it's a cute little jar with a screw on lid and I'm sure I could use it for SOMETHING!

I'll keep an eye on this one, if my feedback is done on time, I'm in!

Actually, looks like this would be Round 3!LOL

I'm interested.  I'll keep checking back to see when it starts.

5956  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Re: Argyle Flannel! on: March 23, 2006 12:52:49 PM
That's adorable fabric!  I love the size of the purse and shape.  Would you be willing to share how you made it?  That's the size and shape I'm looking for - but I'm pattern impaired and have to at least have dimensions to measure out!LOL

Great purse!

That's a cute stencil, I agree that it would look cute if the top frays instead of being hemmed.  Pretty cute for a first bag!  Keep 'em coming!

Sad - I called USPS (postal service) and they told me that my package left the US on March 16th.  Normally it's 4-10 days after that to receive.  So you should get it at the beginning of the week hopefully.  I couldn't get this information online, I had to call their 1-800#.  They said that they did not show it as delivered yet, just in transit.  So if you don't receive next week, let me know and I'll call them back.  Apparently they are willing to track it manually if you're pleasant!!LOL

5959  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Discussion and Questions / Re: What kind of Craft do you like to do? on: March 23, 2006 07:02:22 AM
Let's see:  I crochet, just started stenciling, sewing (more bags and purses than clothes), learning to knit - I'm really a Jill of all Trades!  I'll try almost any craft to start with!

What do YOU like to do?

I've learned tons off of Craftster in the last few months.  I'm always making something new and bringing it to work.  Everyone gets so jealous!  They've started asking what I'm making now!LOL

I know the bags you're talking about.  I bought my daughter a lunchbag that's similar to that.  It's pretty flat with a little wrist strap, when you unzip it, it becomes a very good sized lunchbag (holds a ton of stuff!), plus it's insulated.  When she's done with lunch, she smooshes it down and zips it and (hopefully) throws it in her backpack!

I haven't seen any directions for making one though.
