OMG!!! ourglasslake - we must be soulmates!!LOL  That is my all time fave fanfic also!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  I simply can't believe it! How funny.

Maybe you and I SHOULD be paired up and we could each do a bound copy for the other, eh?LOL

Kristen - this is my fave fanfiction site, but that's because I (and ourglasslake) like Snape/Hermione fanfic:

http://ashwinder.sycophanthex.com/

All the stories here deal with the Snape/Hermione relationship.  There's the sweet to the raunchy, take your pick!LOL

ourglasslake - exactly!  BookSnape makes you feel sorry for him and detest him at the same time.  I personally thinik that Snape is JK's best character.  He's the only one that I feel is really in the gray area.  99% of her characters are either good or bad, with Snape you just aren't sure.

Hedwig?  Dobby?  They're all characters as far as I'm concerned.  Whatever your fave is will be fine.  Nearly Headless Nick?  A character!

Kristen81 - don't get us wrong, movie Snape is wonderful, but he's still Alan Rickman.  Book Snape is (correct me if I'm wrong ladies) slimmer, longer hair, more hooked nose, generally more tormented and unsure of himself than movie Snape.

SeeMe (and anyone else that's not sure):  here's the general guidelines on item size:

Small item:  spend 1-2 hours on it and/or less than $5 in materials

Medium item:  spend 2-4 hours on it and/or $5-10 in materials

Large item:  spend 4+ hours on it and/or $10+ in materials

Ofcourse, as crafters, we probably have lots of "stash" to work with so it wouldn't necessarily cost that much to do.  I normally measure my items in time.

Awww, thanks!  miss_katonic, I am so pleased that you like your stuff!  I was seriously worried.  When you said that you'd love an HP themed skirt, I had to figure out how to do one!

I'm really impressed that my stuff looks much better photographed than I thought it would.LOL

I was thinking of your knitting when I made the small tote bag.  I had plans to bead the darkmark, but my lord! that's quite a job.  So in the end, I simply painted it on.  I took a chance on the sizing of the jacket - I actually got two, but that one seemed closer to what I figured from your pics on myspace!  The skirt was quite a to-do!!  I printed off pictures that I particularly liked and then used my daughter's Nickolodeon lightbox to trace them in pencil (had to wing some parts-like faces) and then went over them with a transfer pen.  Oh, I thought I was so cool!LOL  Until I realized that transfer pen doesn't work the best on dark denim!!!  I ended up on the floor with the picture next to me, hand drawing parts of the images.  I'm sure you can tell which parts!!LOL  The jacket and skirt are done with sharpies and fabric markers.  The packages said that if they are ironed, they can be washed with no problem.  So just iron them a couple of times and let me know how it works.

The pic of Lucius came off of http://www.deviantart.com, but I can't remember for the life of me who the artist was.  Sorry.  The stickers are actually bookplates.

I'm so pleased that you liked everything!  This was the best swap!!

Actually Harry was picked by one person.  I'm not telling who yet!

I do love Alan Rickman's voice - it's perfect for Snape - but I love book Snape, not movie Snape.

Actually, Snape runs a tight race for being most popular.  I'm pretty sure that he wouldn't appreciate that!

You'll all have to just wait and be surprised as to who your partner is and what character you're crafting for!!  Don't think about it so much, just enjoy it!!LOL

I like the sounds of this one if we get to make a bag (with size limits) AND fill it!  Yea, a mix of crafted and purchased items would be great!

I'll keep an eye on this one!
