Yeah, it makes sense.  I think I might try it again this next weekend.  After screwing it up, I think I see where I went wrong.  It helps to talk it out sometimes and now I see one someone has actually made and that helps too!

I'll let you know how it goes.  I refuse to let this purse defeat me!LOL

That is a cute purse, I love that fabric.  The kitty is awfully cute too!

I received last night and started the gallery this morning!

Yeah for motoredxheart for being the first one!!  Good job on your first swap!

Don't forget to send me and your partner your DC# or customs# when you send.

Drumroll please!

I have received my swap package from motoredxheart!

Here's a pic of the whole group:

There's a little Snape doll (he looks so annoyed!), an owl who delivered a message (adorable scroll wrapped in black ribbon), teeny tiny bottle of Veritaseum, Slytherin bracelet, little felt Slytherin pouch with felt magnets, and a CD with Harry and the Potters and Draco and the Malfoys.

Close up of Snape, Owl and Scroll:

You did a lovely job motoredxheart!  The little Snape is too cute!  He's sitting on my HP shelf in my office right now.  However, my daughter (11yo) ran off with the magnets, pouch and owl this morning. Smiley  She said she loves them!!

5665  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / The Swap Gallery / Re: Tote Bag Swap Gallery May June 2006 on: June 13, 2006 07:15:03 AM
I sent yesterday.  I've been showing pics to everyone that will look at them.  I was pretty pleased with myself.  Hopefully my partner is too!

Great!  It sounds like everyone is doing well.  Probably better than me, actually!LOL  I'm a bit behind, but should be done this weekend.  I just get new ideas and can't decide on what to send!

What part of the handles did you get stuck on?  Maybe I can look at my directions and talk you through it.  We'll figure it out, not to worry!
Sorry I haven't posted pics yet, I will get on that soon.

Okay, so I cut out the handles and all that jazz.  Now, do I sew them together at the ends and then sew all the way around and then turn them inside right?  Does that make any sense whatsoever?

5668  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / The Swap Gallery / Re: foc swap 3 gallery! on: June 13, 2006 05:20:30 AM
That's what I thought too - a large amount of effort.  Some of the more experienced craftsters may be able to whip out a shrug or something similar fairly easily so they would consider that smaller.  I aspire to that!

One week to go!  I'll be sending out a PM today to everyone in the swap just to give a heads up that we need to move along.  Sounds like the majority are doing fine.  I'll also be reminding you all to send me the DC# if mailing in the USA or the customs # if mailing from outside.

5670  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Re: new fashion trend ... on: June 12, 2006 06:41:19 AM
I'm sorry. I think it is best to wear what one wants to wear no matter what fashion dictates at the time. Having individual style is sometimes admired much more. Now excuse me while I run to by dressing room and clothe myself in an 18th century polonaise gown  Smiley

I quite agree!  When I graduated high school, one of my friends took me aside and said that my friends had asked her to tell me that I dressed "weird".LOL  I didn't care, I dress how I want to.  Sometimes I'm "in fashion", sometimes not.  But I'm always comfy and like what I wear.
