5492  CLOTHING / Clothing for Curvaceous Craftsters: Discussion and Questions / Re: solution for rubbing thighs under a dress on: July 17, 2006 01:45:56 PM
I just came back from lunch today and it's about 100 degrees out (more or less) and was thinking of this very thing.  I don't mind wearing pantyhose, they don't seem too hot to me, but sometimes I want to go bare-legged!  I'm going to try the men's boxers, I think.  I've tried lotions and powders and nothing works well.  The Spanks website does have a lot of great stuff, but they can run expensive on some things.

Great ideas!!  Thanks!

If I'm not mistaken, ChloeisCrazy is the only one left to receive and she's getting Angel packages.  Once she's received, we are officially ended.  Wow!!  Great job everyone!

I got my package from Rain - things take a little longer between the US and Canada!  Here's what I got:  a knitted(?) vampire doll, 4 magnets of Louis, one of Rain's beautiful bags and a stenciled shirt.  I'm not posting a pic of the shirt since Rain said that she wasn't happy with it.  It's a stencil of Louis - that was a really hard one to try for a first stencil!

This is the vampire doll:

The bag inside:

I love this bag, the green inside is fab!  Green is my favorite color.  It has all kinds of pockets - 4 pockets, one double, one single square and one long- about the size of knitting needles!LOL

The doll was funny.  I took her out and my 11yo daughter said, "Hey, a Hermione doll!  Why does she have fangs?  Did Snape bite her?"LOLOL  She does look a lot like Hermione and that was funny to me. Grin

I have the doll and the magnets up in my office right now and have shown them to everyone this morning and I brought the bag filled with a craft project already - just not knitting! Smiley

Thanks again Rain!!

Okay, this swap is almost completely wrapped up.  We are just waiting for our two members that got flaked on to receive, so in the next few weeks we'll be done!

vampirebunny received her small package from me and the one from Cinderly is on its way.
SidekickFancy just got an angel (Inara) and she'll be sending about July 26th.

Yes, your Dad is perfectly right to be cautious.  This site seems to be safer than most I've been on.  Around me a PO Box is about $5 for six months.  That wouldn't be too expensive.  He could even pick up the packages for you if he wanted! Wink  That might make him feel better.

CharlieBrown is right, have your Dad visit the site and nose around.

Aw, shucks, thanks for the compliments on the bear!  It was my very first time making a teddy bear AND working with fur.  I was pretty pleased with her.  I immediately decided it was a "her" and found her the lovely ribbon.  I'm so glad that you liked everything, Homerof2.  Your replacement package will be on its way by Wednesday.  I hope whatever postal emplyee got your package is enjoying it! Angry

Very cute!  I love dragons, I'm going to bookmark that site and try it sometime soon.
5500  Calls for Swap Angels / Swap Angel Archive / Re: Harry Potter Favorite Character Swap - 1 Angel Needed on: July 16, 2006 05:10:56 PM
Nope, nothing in return, sorry.  That's the point of being an "Angel".  You get good kharma points instead of tangible items.  Grin

Generally, the person in need of an angel has already made and sent items to someone who didn't reciprocate.
