What a great job!  I think the straps look fab.  That last pic is wonderful too.

Okay, my first ATC is ready to go out in the mail by Wednesday (when I can escape again), but I'm feeling pretty silly about it now.  I think everyone's creations are so beautiful!!  Mine is very simple - I was afraid to get too crazy, so I may have gone too simple. Roll Eyes

I was wondering about size too.  I read that a lot of people use playing cards as their base and I measured my stash of cards and they are 2.25 x 3.5.  That's really close.  I'll have to PM my partners and check with them.  It would make it easier until I can get some nice ATC blanks.

I'm totally booked right now or I would.  If you don't find anyone to organise, remind me in a month or two and I will do it.

I can't wait to see your knitting, Bailey!  I'm hoping to get a DIY kit out of the DIY Kit swap so that I can learn. Smiley

Wow!  Thanks for the info.  Maybe the problem is that I have never put the design UNDER the shirt and tried it that way.  I do have FabricMate markers.  My JoAnn's was moving to a new location, so I got them at 75% off!!  I'll have to try this.

Again, your shirts look fantastic!

Well, I know for sure his mom doesn't want him back! Grin  She's got his dad to deal with already!  It just really cuts my crafting time down when he's like that.  I can't sew - that machine is so noisy!  I can't go paint or whatever - what are you doing out there, can sit with me!LOL
5460  QUILTING / Quilting: Completed Projects / Re: my amazing SIMPLE quilt. on: August 26, 2006 07:26:44 PM
Very nice!  When you say they are thin - are they just the one layer of cotton, not lined?

I made shaggy quilts for babies and did large squares (easier), sewed the front and back squares and batting together at once and then sewed rows and so on.  The quilts are pretty darned heavy!

Or if you wanted to, you could make another backing (so it is shaggy on the outside) and then just use the tie-method for the quilting, with batting in the middle.

Just a couple of ideas for ya! Smiley
