1  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Re: Sock Obsession! (IMG heavy) on: December 30, 2008 02:41:36 PM
There's a couple of books out there. Like: Sock and Glove, Happy Gloves, Stupid Sock Creatures, and Stray Sock Sewing. I have all of them and I highly recommend them. Sock toys are super easy and fun to make.

I especially love using really small kids socks.
2  Florida / Florida: North / Yarn Harlot coming to Jacksonville! on: October 09, 2008 02:20:28 PM
Hello all North Florida knitters! The Yarn Harlot is making her first trip to Florida next Thursday (Oct.16th). The event is being hosted by KnitWitz yarn shop. More information here: http://store.knitwitzinc.com/   (also on Ravelry)

If anyone is interested you have to call ahead to purchase tickets.

It sounds like it's going to be a lot of fun!

That's so clever!

I have a couple of construction questions. Did your finished piece (before you sewed it up) look like a house with a really tall pointed roof? What are the general measurements before and after construction(how big is he)?

Sorry for all the questions! Grin

I have pretty good ideas for 6 of the 7 categories. Still debating on some of them though. The one that's stumping me is the "something hard".

It's so much fun coming up with ideas!
