21  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / I know swallows aren't pink, but... on: October 17, 2004 04:47:40 PM
I saw a really cute pillow with a swallow embroidered on it in the Urban Outfitters catalog, but I wasn't crazy about the color. So I made my own! I know swallows don't come in pink, but in my imagination they do!!!

22  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Changing Crewneck to Boatneck? on: October 15, 2004 08:57:44 PM
I'm hoping one of you more experienced knitters can help me with this. I'm using The Knitter's Handy Book of Sweater Patterns to design my first sweater, and I wanted to change the crewneck into a boatneck. Any tips on how to do this? I'd appreciate the help.
23  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Bond Ultimate Knitting Machine? on: July 07, 2004 06:25:39 PM
I was just wondering if anyone out there had a Bond Knitting Machine, and if so what they thought of it. Does it handle fine yarns well, or is it really just for thicker yarns? I've already got a bulky machine, and I'd love to get a standard, but I just can't afford to shell out that knid of money right now. I thought maybe a Bond would be good for the time being. So if you love it or hate it, please let me know!
24  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / Circular Crochet Hooks?!? on: July 07, 2004 06:17:45 PM
Okay, so I'm puttering my way through Micheal's today, picking up various crafting doodads, when I notice they are now carrying circular crochet hooks. They're just like a pair of circular knitting needles, but with a crochet hook on either end.  I was just wondering if anyone has used these, and on what (scratches head). I've been crocheting a long time, but I've never even seen these suckers before today!
