Here's some photos of my latest Ball Jointed Doll paint job. For those who are interested, she's a Cerberus Project MNF Lishe. Her name is Holly. I love painting dolls faces; it's so much fun! Thanks for looking!

2  My Lady Pirate, Morgan in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects by boleyn on: December 04, 2006 07:03:06 PM
I'm not sure if this is the most appropriate category for her, but here she is! This is Morgan, one of my Asian Ball Jointed Dolls (a Cerberus Project Lishe, to be exact). I just completed her face; it's done with Liquitex acrylics and chalk pastels.

Her previous face-

When I have time, I'm going to make her a period wardrobe; French noblewoman by day, pirate by night! Thanks for looking!

3  Simple Sampler in Quilting: Completed Projects by boleyn on: January 29, 2006 11:20:30 AM
This was actually the first quilt I made, about 3 years ago. The sad thing is I just managed to get it quilted!! I'm not slow or anything. This isn't a very good picture, and I couldn't capture the amazing quilting on it; there's a little bit of everything quilted into this one, it's really beautiful in person. I really recommend trying a sampler quilt; it's a great way to get started on quilting, since you get to try out a little bit of everything.

4  Just the tiniest bit of pink... in Quilting: Completed Projects by boleyn on: January 29, 2006 11:15:59 AM
OK, I lied, it's a nothing but pink!!! I made this Rail Fence quilt thinking it would be a quick and easy way to thin out my pink fabric stash, but it didn't even make a dent!!! So look for many more pink quilts to come!!! The woman that quilted this for me did an amazing job. You can't really tell in the pictures, but the border fabric is a feather print, so she did loads of feathers in the body, and a feather border. Let me know what you think!!

5  I've got you, knitted babe!! in Knitting: Completed Projects by boleyn on: November 19, 2005 12:59:29 PM
I've finally gotten around to completing my knitted babe!! She's been sitting in pieces for the past month, and I was determined to complete her this weekend. Originally, she was going to be named Lorelei, but after applying her hair I realized that she really wanted to be Egyptian, so I've renamed her Cleo, short for Cleopatra. She's knit out of baby cashmerino, with unwound cotton rope for hair. As soon as I complete an outfit for her I'll post it.

Let me know what you think of her!!

6  Halloween Wreath in Halloween Decor and Parties by boleyn on: October 06, 2005 01:58:08 PM
My mom and I were at a local boutique that sells really lovely Christmas ornaments and the like. They had a small section of Halloween things, including a beautiful wreath for $250!!! After looking at it for about 5 minutes, we headed on over to Michael's, spent about $30 on pumpkins, a twig wreath, and various doodads, and voila!! Our very own Halloween wreath!!! What do you think?

7  Re: The Nightmare Before Christmas Gallery in The Swap Gallery by boleyn on: July 05, 2005 04:33:29 PM
WooHoo!! I just got my swap stuff from Clayfaery!! I got a really cute little zippered pouch, with a little bat and some pins inside, and then I got a second package with the coolest bottle cap jewelry I've ever seen!! The ring has Jack on it, the necklace has Sally, the keychain and earrings are Lock, Shock, and Barrel!! Thank you so much, Clayfaery!!!

This is the swap package I sent to christinanne. I made two coasters, four cards, and a journal, and I put it all in a  Nightmare themed box.

8  ARRGH!! Stow Yer Weapons!!! in Needlework: Completed Projects by boleyn on: July 02, 2005 11:30:42 AM
I was on the Pirates of the Carribean ride at Disneyland recently and noticed there was a sign that said "Stow Yer Weapons." And I thought, how perfect would that be for a make-up case? So here's the result:

I found the image on the web (I googled pirate girl). She's crayon and embroidery, and the lettering is done in fabric pen. I've still got to make it up into a bag, but I couldn't wait to post her. What do you think?

9  My first cross stitch (skull)! in Needlework: Completed Projects by boleyn on: June 09, 2005 06:43:24 PM
I decided yesterday to teach myself how to do cross stitch, which is something I've been meaning to do for awhile. I got the chart from Cyberstitchers Cross Stitch ( www.cyberstitchers. com ). It's teeny; about 2 1/8" x 2 3/4". But it was a fun way to learn the basics. Now I'm going to tackle a way more complicated cross stitch; a Marilyn Monroe pattern I made using PC Stitch! Wish me luck!

10  Sublimely Cool Skull! in Sublime Stitching Embroidery by boleyn on: May 18, 2005 04:33:14 PM
So I've been rather un-crafty lately, and I haven't posted any completed projects for quite awhile. But since I had a quiet day, I finally finished my little Jenny Hart skull embroidery!! I was so pleased to finally get something done!!
I don't know what I'll do with it; maybe make it a pouch, or into a patch.
