Yesterday I made this back pack for the daughter of friends, she's 2.5 years old. Today she gets it from Santa Claus The fabric is original unused "Berenboot" fabric, it was very popular in the seventies here in the Netherlands, and very hard to get this fabric.
I make them exactly the same way. I've used many kinds of interfacing, the best i can find is the interfacing of the local market here. And i also put layer of batton between in and outside fabric.
thank you all.... a few years ago we bought a part of an old wholesale, which was closed for 30 years and every week i go to fleamarkets and secondhand shops looking for fabrics, ribbons, buttons...etc.
some photo's from the other items i made. I started 5 weeks ago with making the bags just for decorating our stand at a fair in Germany. But i like them so much and have so much fun to make them.
