1  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Valentine's Day / Pencilcase for Whoever on: February 15, 2011 09:43:10 PM

I'm really excited to share this.
It's a pencilcase that I made inspired by Beautiful South's Song for Whoever. The shape is based closely on a super old Muji pencilcase that I mangled.

The shape looks deceptively simple but it's really really difficult to make, I think I blew a brain fuse trying to figure it out.
2  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Felt duck and felted dog on: March 14, 2009 07:06:19 AM
Two toys that I made a while back. It took me forever to photograph them.
But I'm happy with how they turned out.

3  QUILTING / Quilting: Discussion and Questions / Getting corners to meet nicely on: December 05, 2008 12:36:37 AM
I'm new to quilting / patchwork and I hope someone can help with this question.
When machine quilting, how do you get the corners to all meet at one point nicely instead of being slightly off etc?
I've been told that simply sewing with the pins on would solve the problems of misligned points. But it does not really help me all that much.

How do you guys get your points to meet? Or do you not really bother at all?

Thanks!

Someone saw I did for the purse swap,

and wanted to buy one. So I made another one, inspired by Tinafish.

There is A LOT of handstiching going on there! But I'm so pleased with it. It's fairly hard and keeps its shape well.
Here are the pix!

5  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / Bottle cap pin cushion tutorial on: December 16, 2004 08:10:06 AM

Made this some time ago but kept adding stuff to it and now it looks pretty cute!

It's really easy to make too. I used scraps and a bottle cap from any ol' pet bottle.
6  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Some purses I made {Change purse tutorial added} on: August 31, 2004 08:03:55 AM
Here's the very very first purse that I made:

Here's some shots of the second one:

Here's my Frankenstein chequebook cover:

They're mostly so imperfect that I have to hide the mistakes with flowers. Grin
