Awesome work animegirlie!

It's been 4 years since my partner flaked so I've given up hope of her ever sending a package to me.
2  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Re: Tatted edging - vintage pattern on: August 05, 2009 06:50:07 PM
I love this! I want to learn tatting. It's such an delicate art. I'm gonna have to look on YouTube as well!

*BTW, I just have to comment- this is my 250th post. Smiley I'm now a goddess. go me. Thank you for indulging me. You may go back to admiring the beautiful tatting now.  Grin

Congrats, oh goddess Beccas!

That is gorgeous, Confusion!

I just bought a book today that came with 4 needles (the #8 was broken Sad) . So far I've made 2 circles with the picot things. I really love the needle (but I'm a knitter...so I have a "thing" for needles). The book has a cute butterfly pattern but I got on here to see if I could find any patterns. The Hobby Lobby here has a DVD that comes with a needle as well, but I prefer to use a book to learn.
3  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Re: Knitting terms, welcome for the non-knitters on: December 15, 2007 06:13:59 PM
hi I'm working on a lace pattern and part of the pattern says p2sso

I have no clue what this means besides purl 2

Its been over a month since you posted this question but just in case you hadn't figured it out yet it means "Pass 2 Slipped Stitches Over"

So that means that at some point in time as you are knitting along the pattern should tell you to slip 2 stitches (usually knitwise unless otherwise stated).  Then you will knit one stitch (sometimes 2) after you have the knit stitch on the right needle beside the slipped stitches you will use your left needle to grab the 2 slipped stitches and bring them over the knit stitch and then you drop them off the needle. I hope that made some sense.

In the decrease section of the knittinghelp.com videos she shows how to do skp which is the same except its just one stitch instead of 2.

5  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Re: Don't You Hate When People Say................ on: December 15, 2007 04:55:13 PM
Ohmy, was he cute?
Did you get his number?
Knitter guy would be quite a catch, and I think it'd be fun to sit and knit on a parkbench together ^.^

Well I'm married so I don't typically ask guys for thier numbers lol.  But he was older than my father so even if I wasn't married I wouldn't have asked.  Maybe I can teach my husband to knit...

Thats really cool about your sisters friend.  Cheesy

So today I was knitting in public and one guy tells me his grandma taught him to knit and chrochet before she died.  He said she never got around to teaching him how to do lace though and loved the lace scarf I was working on.  So this other guy chims in and says,"My ex taught me to knit. But knitting takes too much time so I quit. She used to knit huge blankets and shirts (you mean sweaters?) and sell them for $5."  So the first guy speaks up and says,"That's crazy!! Knitting is time consuming and yarn costs more money than that!!"  It was so nice to have someone else argue on my behalf while I happily continued knitting   Cheesy  Then we went on to have a long conversation about good books and how the other guy's  must have been one crazy fast speed knitter.  Grin

what does the rent one say at the bottom?

525,600 minuets I think.  Its from the song Seasons of Love which is how each act starts out.

525,600 minutes, 525,000 moments so dear
525,600 minutes how do you measure
Measure a year?
In daylights, in sunsets, in midnights, in cups of coffee
In inches, in miles, in laughter, in strife
In 525,600 minutes - how do you measure a year in the life
How about love
How about love
How about love
Measure in love
Seasons of love

525,600 minutes, 525,000 journeys to plan
525,600 minutes how can you measure the life of a woman or man
In truths that she learned, or in times that he cried
In bridges he burned, or the way that she died

It's time now to sing out, though the story never ends
Let's celebrate remember a year in the life of friends
Remember the love
Remember the love
Remember the love
Measure in love
Seasons of love
Seasons of love
