1  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / Re: amigurumi (img heavy) on: January 30, 2011 10:41:47 AM
Those are so adorable!  I loved the penguin!  I just started making these and I've been looking for a cute penguin and smaller animals.  Would you be willing to share the patterns?

HistoricalNeedle, I am so impressed by how fast you are stitching that picture!!  Do you have a secret technique that you use to stich so quickly?!?  The picture is coming out great!!
3  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Re: WATER BOTTLE COZIES on: August 02, 2010 05:29:52 PM
WOW!  These are so cute!  I drink water all the time, but I would love to use one of these!  Are they knitted or crocheted (sp?)?  Are you going to put up a tutorial?  I would love to know how to make them  Grin

i love the butterflies.  soo pretty. On the smaller flowers is that like a star and a french knot?  The yellow flowers are cute, too.
The little blue flowers are just french knots, the small yellow ones are lazy daisy's with french knots in the middle, and the purple one are just straight stitch with french knots in the middle.

did you buy the kit recently!?!? i have it! (but shamefully never finished it, but i still use the plastic red embroidery hoop) someone gave it to me when i was 12 (i'm 23!!!!). every now and then i find it so i recognized it at once in your picture! i looked for it in my craft stuff, but i think its found a new home! if it turns up, i'll post my pathetic attempt! yours is beautiful! good job! hahah i can't stop laughing because its so nice to see the finished product after all these years!

I just bought it about a month ago.  That's funny that they had it for sale that long ago.  I have stuff that I started when I was 10 (I'm 25 now) that still isn't completed, like a ninja turtles picture (I was a tomboy) so don't feel bad Smiley I take it all out about once a month, look at it, then put it back and go buy a new pattern or kit, LOL.

Thanks everyone for the comments  Grin
6  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / First Embroidery on: October 08, 2009 10:23:35 AM
Whoops, I forgot to include this in my last post.  This is my first, and only so far, embroidery.  I liked it, but I enjoy cross-stitch more as it seems more structured.

7  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Stitchalongs / Re: Big Project Stitchalong 2009 on: October 08, 2009 10:12:45 AM
Hi again everyone.  I realized that I haven't updated my progress in awhile, so here you go.

I'm working like a mad women trying to get this done before Christmas so I can give it to my Mom as a gift, so hopefully I will have a new update for you all soon.  Everyone's stuff is looking great!!
8  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Some small stuff on: October 08, 2009 10:09:32 AM
Here is some small stuff that I have done recently.  I hope the pictures look alright, my camera was acting up and wouldn't focus the way I wanted it to.

I can't wait for Christmas so that I can hang these up.  I have about ten more kits that I hope to finish before then.

I still have to glue the edges down and sew on the lace trim that came with the kit if I decide to put it on.

Thanks for looking Smiley
9  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Re: Little lamb (10,000 french knots) and 2 birds on: October 08, 2009 09:51:31 AM
WOW!!  It's hard enough for me to make the french knots that are required for the projects that I have done, let alone a whole picture of them!  They look so cool though, I might have to try it, if not for anything else other then to practice,  Tongue.  I love the blue bird embroidery too.  Never would have known that you drew it freehand, the lines look so perfect Smiley
10  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Re: The fluffiest cupcake you ever did see... on: October 08, 2009 09:44:35 AM
That's so cute.  I purchased a punch embroidery kit, but so far no luck, my stitches keep coming out.  Any tips?  I think it would look good on a tote or maybe even a journal/notebook.
