1  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Winter Holidays / Re: Merry Mixmas! (Surprise gifts) on: December 09, 2009 09:22:02 PM
Thanks so much, Indiana!
2  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Winter Holidays / Merry Mixmas! (Surprise gifts) on: December 09, 2009 01:26:29 PM
So, I decided to send surprise Christmas mix CDs to friends and family this year. I made the envelopes out of pretty scrapbooking papers with little brads for the closures. I used permanent marker to decorate the CDs, which each read "Merry Mixmas" and the person's name. Added to the envelope were little sequined "hohoho"s and tiny metallic present confetti. I decorated the envelopes with little winter scenes. Oh, and of course they were shipped from the North Pole. Smiley Everyone who received one seemed to really like it so far. I just mailed them the other day.

Anyway, some photos:

Thanks for looking!  Smiley
3  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / The Swap Gallery / Re: Jim Henson Swap round ??? Gallery! on: June 09, 2009 12:33:48 PM
I'm so glad you loved everything, BroknWingz. I was sooo pleased with how the door knockers came out. There's a bit of artistic license there, but I thought they were cool. I left them the clay color because I thought it looked best and I was afraid they would look tacky if I painted them.

I'm finally, FINALLY posting pictures of the fabulous goodies I received tonight when I get home from work. (Which is where I am right now ... shh!) I had some camera issues, too, and ended up using my roomie's girlfriend's camera. So check back tonight for more pics! Smiley

Crafting for this swap cheered me up - and I haven't even received yet! Smiley I hope my partner likes everything ... I'm going to send out tomorrow, I think.

I have my large and medium items finished - and I really love them. I wasn't so sure about the medium at first, but now I do.

Now it's just a matter of figuring out the rest. I have lots of ideas floating around, but it's hard... I tried to sew a plushie but, well - it certainly didn't turn out!  Undecided

I'm struggling with one of my Labyrinth-related projects... any Labyrinth fans care to PM me for a little advice? Smiley

I think everything is going well so far... I'm nervous, though, because I have a Labyrinth-fan partner (BroknWingz) and I'm more of a Fraggles fan myself... We'll see how things go. I think I have good ideas and the first part is turning out.
