I wanted to alter this pattern but I'm not too sure how to change it....I would want it to be full length

you know what I mean....
one of those wide neck 80s type sweaters that fall off one shoulder in a sassy way....

I'm looking for a modernized version of that!!!

thanks....I think I might change it so that the sleeves are not quite so fitted and make it a full length....

I'm excited to finally get this show on the road!

thanks for all the help

I just sent an email to knit1
informing them about the inconsistencies

I'll post when I'm finished

thanks for the advice rina!
I did exactly that and I realized that the next part of the pattern would require 28 sts on each side....

so I wont decrease anything on the 2nd row and that will leave me with 28 sts each side by the 10th.

Whew..

thanks for the help!!!!

ok...I've figured out the gist of it with the turning chain thing.....but the math is still not adding up...maybe I should send an email to knit1magazine and ask them to explain it to me.

I will try omitting the instructions to skip the hdc in row two

but then you still get 28 sts on either side of the center ch2 space.....AAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGGHTHHHHSDFHE%$

maybe you need to skip a st on either side in row 2

I dont know....

but why is the turning chain at the beginning of row 2 not counting as a hdc...I thought thats what the turning chain was....representing the first stitch in a pattern
