101  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Re: Amelia Earhart Aviator Cap on: December 06, 2005 11:15:01 AM
wowie. I should have read this string of comments before I started.
I was using size 8 needles and when I was finished it was too big for even the largest of heads. I am now unravelling and re-knitting on size 6. I hope it works this time around. Although it is easy, this hat is pretty time consuming. Next time I shouldn't be so lazy and take the time to do a gauge swatch test square thingy.

I'll post a pic when I'm done

Here we go again

107  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Hooded scarf pattern? on: December 04, 2005 12:11:18 PM
Hey y'all
I am looking for a knited hooded scarf pattern. All I have found so far are ones that have a rounded hood. Has anyone seen a pattern that has a pointed hood. Its for my mom. And I want it to be just right. A pointed hood would suit her so well. If anyone wants to share I will send you a big mental hug.

so I decided to knit hats and mittens for my fam this x-mas.
one problem. My father has freakishly huge hands. I'm not really sure I know how to alter a pattern yet. Can anyone help. I need a pattern for abnormally huge mittens.

I've searched but no luck so far.

Does anyone know where I can get a pattern for a knitted luchadore mask. I've been doing some research on Mexican wrestling and now this project idea wont leave me alone.
