352  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Re:T-shirt yarn crocheted purse on: March 16, 2004 03:24:23 PM
cute! Shocked i will try this after (if? when?) i finish my grocery bag purse.

i think you should make some with short straps too if you're going to sell them.  but i have no idea what to charge ... i'm one of those people who just goes home and makes it myself.
353  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Re:Plastic Grocery Bag Crocheted Clutch on: March 16, 2004 03:22:23 PM
ok, i'm slow, but ... i don't get it  Cry

i'm trying to teach myself crochet using this project (probably my first mistake - using plastic bags the first time). anyway, how do you get the bottom closed?
and what's that part about adding a few stiches for depth?
do i go in circles?

maybe all y'all enlightened needleworkers can explain.

btw, anyone know how to do tatting? any good projects? i want to learn that too!
354  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Re:Proposals For New Swap Themes on: March 14, 2004 05:27:54 PM
i like the sound of a fabric swap! pleeeeeeeeeeease! it sounds cool.
we could do a large piece (like the 2m suggested) or a couple of fat quarters (18x32 inches) or something.
however i do not think i am a good candidate for organizing said swap.
355  HOME SWEET HOME / Interior Decorating: Discussion and Questions / Re:Budget Living on: March 12, 2004 09:23:12 AM
this magazine is fun! i just got a 2-year subscription for $20. i used to get readymade but i think budget living is more interesting. there are more photo spreads to look at (fashion, home, etc) which give me ideas, even if i can't afford the real deal! i'd rather get a little inspiration for a new project than just instructions for copying something.

someone asked about heat setting a while ago ... a light bulb works really well. i guess one with a lot of watts (?). but that's what i usually use.
