1  CRAFTSTER CRAFT CHALLENGES / Craftster Craft Challenge Theme Ideas, Etc. / Pattern Bending on: August 31, 2006 01:13:00 PM
What this idea for challenge. The idea is to take a clothing pattern and redesign it to make something different, from what was intended for the pattern. Eg: making a jump/flight from a "civil war" uniform pattern.

I know it sounds just as crazy as "circuit bending". But it could work.
2  SEWING IN GENERAL / Sewing in General: Discussion and Questions / Sewing w/ an emergency thermal blanket on: August 27, 2006 11:12:50 AM
How do I sew a mylar thermal blanket without shredding it? My mother tried using it for a pot holder liner and it shredded. It would be kind of cool if you could sewm it without shredding.  Huh

PS: Nice and shiny, good for sci-fi cosplay outfits or wild fashion statement.  Smiley
3  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Discussion and Questions / Gluing "Speaker Wire" to a jacket. on: August 23, 2006 04:02:44 PM
Hey guys,

Does anyone know which type of glue to use fro glueing speaker wire  on the seam of a finished jacket? I had bought beading glue (527 Multi-Purpose cement), but it soaked into the fabric instead of adhering the speaker wire.

PS: I'm using the speaker wire as trim work. Huh
4  CRAFTSTER CRAFT CHALLENGES / Craftster Craft Challenge Theme Ideas, Etc. / Elegant Jacket/coat on: March 09, 2006 09:47:33 AM
I have an idea for another challenge. The idea is to create a jacket/coat with elegance by modifieng patterns and using any color scheme.

5  CRAFTSTER CRAFT CHALLENGES / Craftster Craft Challenge Theme Ideas, Etc. / Exetremely Old School w/ Twist. on: January 23, 2006 03:48:57 PM
How about this, medievil to 1800's style clothing with a twist. But the style has to have some kind resemblance to the original. Eg a blue "Alamo" era hunting jacket w/ red fur caps. My demin monogalian hat would fit in this catagory.

This is my first time entry into a contest like this and also doing it. I figured that this project would be a cool idea to use old jeans.

Pardon the resolution of the camera, my regular camera battery died, so I used my webcam to take the picture.

By the way there are some links to encyclopedia entrie in regards to the title refference.
