74  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / What to do with old drapes? on: March 19, 2004 05:17:12 AM
I have spied some great old drapes at a thrift store (think typical 70's green flowers)  Any super cool ideas oon what I could make out of them?  I don't really want to use them as drapes (do not match my colors in any room) but the fabric/ pattern just seem to cool too go to waste.
75  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / How would I do this? on: March 18, 2004 09:15:38 AM
I found a great funky retro shirt at the thrift store for $1!! I love the print, but discovered a pretty good size burn hole in it (towards the bottom -- if the hole were not so big, it would be unnotiicable) I was thinking of cuttiing the collar  aand cuffs and sewing them to another shirt.  Think that would work... slight problem is I don't really know how to sew well Undecided

Or do you have any other ideas?
