1  Re: Bead Soup Swap Rd. 4 Gallery in The Swap Gallery by vw69 on: August 20, 2010 09:42:44 AM
I received wonderful beads from darkangelwingz!

The beads include glass and wood. I love the orange beads (my favorite color). There are also a number of beads that are going to be great for making miniature lamps.

She made three great pairs of dangly earrings. I really love the red and silver pair...actually I love them all. (Sorry  the clear pair do not show so well.)

Thank you so much for the package. Thank you so much for hosting the swap Jennie.

This is what I sent out to Field of Poppies. She has not posted photos yet so I thought I would. Hope you don't mind.

I made her a table runner and three ornaments.

She has sent her package recently but I am on the road working in Missouri and Nebraska (I live in Florida). I'll try to get photos of the items. Thanks for hosting this swap. I enjoyed it.

5  Re: Fill-a-Box Supply Swap: New Years Resolution Clean those Craft Closets in The Swap Gallery by vw69 on: January 28, 2007 09:47:47 AM
I have taken some photos of what I received from Change. Sorry, I can not put more my picture hosting is almost full.

I received lots of material all kinds of cottons with flowers and baby patterns. I also got some interesting wierd suede material. There was also some really nice lemon colored velvet ribbon.

I also received lots of other things like zippers, bias tape, ribbons, earring hooks, beads, little picture frames, small little roses to sew on, gel pens, different bits of jewelry and necklaces, velcro, and a pencil case filled with bits and bobs. I got too many things to mention them all. I hope the photos do enough justice.

Thank you. You did great on your first swap!

I received from redheadedali yesterday! I wasn't home but now I am so I will post photos.

This photo shows everything together. There are three pins: "I love trash", "trashy", and "Oscar's girl". There is also a box of "Swedish Chef Magnetic Poetry", which includes two pages of translations for all of the words she included( both food words and crafty words). My favorite item by far though is the adorable kermit that she knitted. He is so soft and I love his little hands and feet. He makes me smile. I also got a nice note from redheadedali explaining what she sent.

Thank you for everything redheadedali!

I received my CD from kitty1256 yesterday but didn't get the mail in until really late. I am listening to the CD right now. It is completely different (except for Letters to Cleo) than the CD I sent. I am enjoying listening to things I don't know...I hope she is.

The back w/playlist:

Thanks for the CD kitty1256!

P.S. I didn't even notice I sent a Hello Kitty card with your user name...I just quickly grabbed the card on my way out the door. Smiley

I received an amazing package in the mail today from Awynkoop (Amanda)! She really did a wonderful job at stalking me. Here are the photos(which don't do justice).

1.

On the left side is a wonderful canister filled with different types of tea (one of which I am drinking as I type this), the top is an infuser which I have been desperately wanting. She sent me items to make microscope slide pendants (glass, silver tape(?), beads and some nice pieces of yarn). Included was also some nice orange beads, dark red leaf beads, silver toggles, and magnetic clasps(very neat I have never seen them before).

She knitted me a fulled (I am such an incredibly novice knitter I don't even know what it means) gray hobo bag. On top of the bag is the amazing wrist warmers she made me in my favorite colors (orange and green).

At the bottom of the photo are hand made note cards she and her daughter made. They are perfect. She also included Bert's bees hand salve so I can have nice soft hands after a day of digging.

2.
Close up of the fulled hobo bag. It is her own pattern! (Guess what! It also doubles as a hat...hehe I am such a geek).

3.
Close up of the wrist warmers (can only show one hand..camera in the other). They fit perfectly!

4.
These are the awesome note cards(w/envelopes). I will want to keep them and not use them...maybe I will frame them...hmm that would look good on the kitchen wall.

Amanda also wrote a really nice letter explaining each item she made and why she chose it. I am so pleased and proud of my new items. They were exactly what I wanted.

Thank you so much Amanda.

P.S. I did share a cup of tea with my sister this evening as I showed her all the wonderful things you sent.

I received a very nice package of beads from animegirlie today. I was pleased because I am a bit down right now. thank you for the beads. This is not a very good photo, but I received all sorts of beads(wood, glass, metal, plastic). Almost all of them are different from any that I own, which is great. Thanks for the package animegirlie!
