2  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / couple christmas stuffies on: January 06, 2008 02:13:24 PM
I made these for my sons for christmas and they were alot of fun to knit. The bear is jointed and came out with comically menacing eyes. this is what you get when you finish a christmas present at 4 oclock in the morning christmas morning lol. He is a pattern out of the christmas/winter interweave knits mag. The doll came out of Weekend Knits, which is currently one of my favorite knitting these little boogers really helped me get over my fear of seaming lol sadly it is a crummy webcam photo

3  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / anyone knit up the LTK girlie halter pattern or other tank type kids patterns? on: January 05, 2008 08:11:01 AM
I have a 5 year old son who has Sensory Integration Disorder. In the summer t shirts cause total meltdowns. So this year i wanted to knit him some super soft tank tops but i am having trouble finding patterns. All the tank tops are extremely girly and the vests are just too big bulky and deep v necked for going over a button up. Now i could do my own pattern i know but i have never knit a vest period and am a fulltime working single mom so in the name of time would like at least the first one have a pattern. lol

so i found the ltk girlie halter, from the front it doesn't look to bad, basic tank but i can't see the back. Anyone knit it up? how would it look in boyish colors? super girlie? any other ideas? links would be much obliged

7  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / The Jayne Longies on: November 22, 2005 07:46:02 AM
this is my firsty post...hopefully i did everything right.

ok so i am a huge Whedon Fangirl i admit it and so are my friends

so when i inherited these half knitted longies i became obssessed. this is the only the first step.

I'm gonna make a matching Jayne hat, embroider "time for some thrilling heroics" (or another short Jayne quote) on the bum, and if i can find the right ls tee make a sorta jayne-ish top to go with it..so it is a set Tongue

i think if i had another one to make i would do the cuff in seed stitch so that the cuff is straight

and if i could sew i admit i would make some black leather soft soled shoes to go with it Tongue

please forgive my blechy much toddler stained couch. we are have been shopping for a cover for it. lol but in the mean time you have to see the couch
