1  couple christmas stuffies in Knitting: Completed Projects by Selissa on: January 06, 2008 02:13:24 PM
I made these for my sons for christmas and they were alot of fun to knit. The bear is jointed and came out with comically menacing eyes. this is what you get when you finish a christmas present at 4 oclock in the morning christmas morning lol. He is a pattern out of the christmas/winter interweave knits mag. The doll came out of Weekend Knits, which is currently one of my favorite knitting these little boogers really helped me get over my fear of seaming lol sadly it is a crummy webcam photo

2  Re: YARN DYEING 101 - KOOL AID in Dyeing: Completed Projects by Selissa on: March 23, 2006 06:14:16 AM
I dyed some yarn the day before yesterday. from left to right they are

Rookie is food coloring on white Brown Sheep worsted, and Volcano is also food coloring on fisherman's. from here on out all the yarns are dyed with dupont silk dyes.

first is Berry Pie on Marr Haven Merino/rambulloute blend, then Berry Pie on Blue Faced Liecester, then A MidSummer's Night on dk cream Alpaca, then Black Velvet a dark purple colorway on charcoal grey farm yarn, and last Dandelion Fields on Malabrigio bulky Merino

I LOVE dying yarn so very much. i need to upload the other pics i took of A midsummer's night, it has blue and green on the other side.

4  The Jayne Longies in Knitting: Completed Projects by Selissa on: November 22, 2005 07:46:02 AM
this is my firsty post...hopefully i did everything right.

ok so i am a huge Whedon Fangirl i admit it and so are my friends

so when i inherited these half knitted longies i became obssessed. this is the only the first step.

I'm gonna make a matching Jayne hat, embroider "time for some thrilling heroics" (or another short Jayne quote) on the bum, and if i can find the right ls tee make a sorta jayne-ish top to go with it..so it is a set Tongue

i think if i had another one to make i would do the cuff in seed stitch so that the cuff is straight

and if i could sew i admit i would make some black leather soft soled shoes to go with it Tongue

please forgive my blechy much toddler stained couch. we are have been shopping for a cover for it. lol but in the mean time you have to see the couch
