this is my most recent, as of january of this year. the photos were taken the day it was done, so they're a bit shiney, red and puffy. and i apologize if i've already posted this, but i don't think i did.
Some of you may have seen this post around Valentine's. I made it from a pattern in a book my mom had (seen below~ org. printed in 1965). I used a strand of Lionsbrand BabySoft and a strand of RedHeart Luster Sheen. I went back and used duplicate stitch for the hearts. The original pattern has a hoodie, but I opted for a hat in the reverse colors.
I just made a baby set out of a book my mom had from the 50's. I've already posted it under finished projects, would I still be able to enter it even tho' I've put it up? I didn't notice the Feb. challenge at the time....
because i can't say no, i agreed to make a baby sweater for my SIL to give as a gift to her friend. i found the pattern in a book my mom had that was printed in the 50's. if i were making it for myself, and not because i had to, i probably would have finished it sooner and enjoyed it more. there were endless hours of stockinette hell! but it was knit in one piece w/ only seaming on the sleeves **yeah!!! little sewing**. it's my first raglan and also the first time i've used duplicate stitch (which i decided to add the green hearts to match the buttons). it looks a little crooked in the pictures, but it really isn't. unfortunately my 6yo stepson didn't seem to want to model for me (nor would he fit), so the best i could do was one of our build-a-bears there's supposed to be a hoody, but i was getting tired and wanted to move on. i'll probably make a little hat instead.
I've added the hat in the opposite colors. there are four hats, two in the bright pink and two in the light pink.
