25  Re: Vanessa Bruno in Designer Clothing Homage by Ninkybink on: September 14, 2005 09:14:03 AM

OK got it to work finally (my card read is a pos)

here is a close up of the doily

and here is the shirt

So I think what you could try is, take a circular doily, sew it on a halter there at the top, then cut the fabric out from behind it so it's see through.

27  Yellow Louis Vuitton spring 05 (ELLE beyonce cover) dress in Designer Clothing Homage by Ninkybink on: September 12, 2005 10:53:47 AM
Hey! This is a dress I made earlier this year, but I thought it would fit nicely posted in the "designer homage" section since I made it to look like a Louis Vuitton dress.

Here is the LV dress

and here is mine that I made for my brother's graduation day (sorry the pictures aren't better, but you get the idea)

I used Simplicity 5052, yellow cotton, and some wide white lace at the bottom.

Thanks for lookin'!

28  Re: Swimsuit in Designer Clothing Homage by Ninkybink on: September 11, 2005 02:11:21 PM
The greenish blue one there is the same kind I think. It's all sewn on by hand using normal ol' sequence. I haven't worn it in the pool and I don't plan to Smiley Cheesy
