1  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Little Elf Guy on: December 23, 2008 08:52:20 AM
Wow, it's been so long since I posted anything I hope I remember how. This is an elf guy that I made The Toy Society's Christmas toy drop ( http://www.thetoysociety.blogspot.com/). I would love to know what you all think!

And here he is making "snow" angels in some white fabric.

2  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / My new favorite flower on: June 12, 2008 11:35:51 AM
Hi all look at what I found in my garden this morning!

She is a happy little flower, and loves to play among the toadstools and frogs. I hope to have a bouquet of these flowers soon!

What do you think? I made her as part of a challenge for an etsy team I am part of.
3  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Sick and Tired on: May 02, 2008 08:42:45 PM
Here are my newest pair of dollies. Siblings, named Sick and Tired.

Sister, Sick, never really feels quite right. She constantly carries her handkerchief with her for her frequent sneezing attacks, wears her favorite nightshirt with the heart button and ties her hair up with her favorite blue ribbon to make herself feel just a bit better.

Brother, Tired, well...he is always falling asleep. He tries very hard to comfort his sister but he is just so sleepy. Try as he might, he just can't keep his eyes open. Because of this, he never steps out of his nightshirt and nightcap.

I am really pleased with how these two turned out. What are your thoughts?
4  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / More Itty Bitty Oddities + Link to TUTORIAL!! on: April 01, 2008 08:32:16 AM
Hello! I have made some more Itty Bitty Oddities, and would love to share them with you to get your thoughts. I have also created a tutorial for them, but it includes something like 16 photos so I am linking to it instead of loading it up here.  Smiley

First, we have Cooly which I made for my son as a protection from Monsters. You will notice the serious expression of disdain for all things monster. And the hair? Monsters don't like blue hair I was told. The Mohawk just makes him look all the more intense.

And, here we have Kiwi the fairy Itty Bitty Oddity. She was made at the request of my daughter, and is who I used to make the tutorial.

Here is what an army of Itty Bitty Oddities looks like.

Please go here for the tute: http://odd-dotty.typepad.com/odd_dotty_dollymaker/2008/04/a-day-of-firsts.html

Let me know if you use it, I would love to see what you come up with.  Grin

I know it's not much, but I am excited that I finally did this! I love it when all you creative craftsters make felt food, and I have been wanting to make this for a couple of months. Well, today I finally pulled it out.

7  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Misery loves Company on: February 04, 2008 10:57:39 AM
This is my latest Odd Dotty Dolly. Her name is Misery, but she is happy because of her little friend, Company. She loves him. They spend hours together mooning over life and its troubles, collecting wildflower buds in the forest, gazing at the stars and having tea parties.

8  Archive of Past Craftster Challenge Entries / CHALLENGE 24 ENTRIES / Get back to Belly Dancing!! on: February 03, 2008 02:03:35 PM
Hi all, this is my first time participating in a craft challenge. Weee!  Grin

One of my New Year's Goals is to get back into belly dancing, and so I made a Poppet, whose pattern was created by the most talented craftster, ghilie:http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?action=profile;u=99532.

Her name is Raksana, in honor of my teacher, and here she is:

9  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Raksana the Bellydancing Poppet! on: February 01, 2008 12:29:21 PM
Finally! I FINALLY made a Poppet! I know it has already been said, but this pattern is sooo much fun to make. My many many thanks to ghilie for being so generous with it. And not only to ghilie, but to all you wonderful Poppet makers that have supplied me with many hours of inspiration.

When I first started making her, I had no idea that she would end up being a belly dancer. I envisioned her with green or pink hair, and I thought I would make her a gardener. But, as with most of my dolls that I make, they have their own ideas. And Raksana was born.  She is my inspiration to stick to one of my New Year's Goals which is to get back into belly dancing, oddly enough.  Cheesy

Anyway, without further ado...here she is.

Just look at her hips shimmy!

I also made her an anklet for her pretty little ankle.

And one of my favorite parts...I gave her butt dimples. Grin

Sorry that the lighting isn't the greatest in the photos, but it is all gray and cloudy around these parts, and I was too excited to share her to wait for sunny days.

As always, thanks for looking and I would love to hear your thoughts!
