i made my dog monkey a crate cover, too, and his has sock monkeys on it

awesome! I did something similar (no trim) with dogs playing poker fabric (living in vegas it was appropriate) Its very addicting making crate covers.

thank you. it makes my hubby happy everytime he sees it, and when he saw the matching bed he was so happy and impressed, he says i can sew whatever i want for the house! (this means he will give me money for materials, so huzzah to that.)
