671  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Misc. Gift Idea Brain Blockage / Re: fishing bag? on: November 05, 2005 10:56:30 PM
I'm thinking a whole other direction.  When I fish I ALWAYS need something to wipe hands on.  Have you ever seen one of those granny things that button over the handle of your stove that has a tea towel stitched on it?  Well, my husbands black powder rifle team wears those on their belts so they have something handy to wipe the suet off of their hands to reload.  Something like this would be excellent for fishing.    I just drew it,, couldn't find one I liked when I went "agoogleing"
672  KNITTING / Projects from the Stitch 'N B**ch Books by Debbie Stoller / Re: Non-animal yarn help on: November 05, 2005 08:40:43 PM
Ya'll are cool beans  Smiley  Do any of you spin?  It is so addicting.  Anywhooooo,,, everyone has a local 4H chapter and those kids sheer their sheep and 99 times out of 100,,, they LOVE their sheepies!  I was in 4H so I know they'd probably love selling their sheerings.  At least you'd know that the sheep were not bred fro "crazy" amounts of wool and that they were sheered humanely.  There really is nothing like knitting with organic animal fibers.

And I forgot to add, I used a National Geographic Kids mag..  It had such COOL pictures on every page.  I was able to work in lots of penguin pictures (my fav)  I've got a party to go to tonight and I'm totally carrying my new purse!

OH OH OH,,, everybody look!!!  I won't post the pic,, just the link, it's kinda big,, but I made another one and I LOVE this one!   I used a sparkly denim and I double lined it.  I also used seam binding around the top and it really made it look finished (just good old hot glue btw)  I also rigged up some handles!  ENJOY!

Ok,, here's my first go at it! I just made a gusseted drawstrig bag and used the magazine strips as the base.  It's only 8 strips by 8 strips but with the "bag" E6000ed inside it's actally a good sized purse.  I christen this "Girl Gamer" as I used the pages from a Gameinformer magazine.  I've been looking for the perfect use for this girly camo fabric that I've had for ages.  The drawstring thing eliminates the need to invest in handles.  I'm so friggin' cheap! 679  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Winter Holidays / Re: Very cute gift idea from "red envelope" on: November 04, 2005 06:36:16 PM
Ok, this idea isn't REAL well thought out but here's my first idea.  They (michaels, ac moore, ect ect) sell clear plastic ball ornaments.  They are mega cheap (like 59 cents) and you could do a swirled paint design on the INSIDE of the ball (for durability's sake).  You could even e6000 some itty bitty rhinestones on the outside that say "WISH".  hey....... I might do this too! LOL

Yes yes,, that's what I was wondering.  Do you leave your templates on when rinsing?  WHEN do you rinse?  How much vinegar?  Does any of this matter?  Roll Eyes
