1  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / My Backless Prom Dress on: November 27, 2007 05:56:12 PM
So this is a little late considering my prom was in May. But eh, that's what happens when you start college. Without further ado here is my prom dress. Made without a pile of flesh.

The Old Navy flip flops I fancied up to wear.

The necklace I made to wear

And last of all the vest and tie I made for my boyfriend.
2  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Gorgeous Black Dress on: December 07, 2006 02:47:13 PM
I had some knit black fabric that I bought on sale and I finally decided to make a dress with it. It's the best dress ever. It's form-fitting as well as comfortable which is hard to find these days. Without further ado here are the pictures.

And because I eat shoes and these were only 6 dollars at Target!! Smiley

Comments and any improvements you can think of are much appreciated! By the way sorry the pictures are gigantic. Thanks!
3  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Pocketed v-neck top on: September 07, 2006 04:25:26 PM
I took advantage of Jo-anns labor day sales and bought this cute teal, stretchy, jersey fabric along with some other jersey like material. This stuff turned into my long-sleeved pocketed shirt. It was going to have a hoody but I ran out of fabric. Either way it's an ghoulish fit and I eat pockets!

Comments & critques much appreciated!
4  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Dress for Wedding/Mock prom dress on: September 07, 2006 04:22:25 PM
So my prom is in May. I'm a little early, but I finished up a mock prom dress. This is what my actual prom dress will look like except it will be dark blue and better! The plus side of starting this early- I now have a very cute dress to wear to the wedding of my boyfriend's friend. I also made him a matching tie and sometime soon I'm going to make a matching purse to take with me to the wedding. And luckily I got someone to take pictures of me to spare you all from the hideous bathroom mirror shots I took. Smiley

Comments appreciated!

6  CLOTHING / Designer Clothing Homage / Valentine's Dresses on: January 11, 2006 01:22:46 PM
So for Valentine's Day I really wanted to make a cute dress to wow my boy. And here it is- there are a few similar that I like. I was thinking of a nylon fabric rather than silk b/c I hate sewing silk. I was also wondering how to go about doing the top- I want it halter, and I want a strap in the back, but I'm not sure where to position the strap for the back.

7  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / A too-small shirt turns into a cute side-tyed top! on: November 16, 2005 05:00:12 PM
I had an old Foster's beer shirt that became too small years ago. However I eat it much, so I had to keep it. I ripped up the sides and sewed in parts of an old white t-shirt, and then I ripped those into strips and tied them. I eat the way it turned out, except now it's a bit short, and hence the beater underneath. Oh well, at least it's wearable!

8  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Polka Dot Halter/Bow Tied Tube top W/PICS! on: November 16, 2005 04:56:59 PM
I bought an XXL silky polka dot top from Goodwill, and after much determination and thinking I finally made it into a top. I used to other white fabric I had lying around for the boobage area, and then for the bottom to make it long enough. I really eat the way it turned out, plus you can wear it two ways- as a halter, or as a tube top with a great big bow in front!

Here are the pictures!

I really do hope I can find someone to give this to, or someone who wants to buy it because I do believe it looks a bit dreadful on me.

I made this skirt for a friend. Took a pair of her old jeans, turned them into a skirt, added pleats at the bottom, and then to finish it off I embroidered in flowers with beads and of course the signature initials.
