I did it! It was challenging with the piping and all the layers but, worth it.

8  HOME SWEET HOME / Interior Decorating: Discussion and Questions / arts & crafts room for mommy & toddler any ideas? on: May 09, 2007 12:14:46 PM
I am making part of our bonus room into a craft/art room for me and my almost 2 year old son. I have a few books en route from the library but, in the meantime any ideas?

I love all the pottery barn kids stuff but, $$$$$$ wooo!

So far I think I am going to get 2 folding tables and have them coming out from the wall so when we each sit at our own table we will be facing each other.

I need storage ideas mostly. I was thinking of maybe putting some command hooks on sons side (where the metal apron is) and hanging buckets so he could easily reach things. Also was thinking of putting down one of the floor protectors you put under an office chair for paint spills and such.

Any ideas or pics of your projects would be appreciated, TIA!
9  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / what do you do with ends of duplicate stitch? on: February 10, 2007 10:24:02 AM
I have searched all over and I cannot for the life of me figure this out.
I understand how to weave in ends using the duplicate stitch.
I understand how to put a different color over to make a little design using duplicate stitch but, what do you do with the ends when it is a different color? I mean if it is just a little dot, like one stitch you can't really keep putting the ends around and around that same stitch, can you? Doesn't it just get really fat there? Help Cool

TIA
10  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Harry Potter knits on: February 06, 2007 02:22:58 PM
I just saw Alison Hansel of the blue blog http://alison.knitsmiths.us/ has a
book coming
out in May of Harry Potter inspired knits. You can pre-order it on Amazon
already! http://tinyurl.com/2khd7d

I know there are a lot of HP fans on here so, I wanted to make sure y'all knew about it.
