1  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Stenciling: Completed Projects / Who Likes To Rock The Party...METALHEADS! on: March 12, 2009 05:00:18 PM
So I take NO credit for this, as it was completed in all its awesomeness by my housemate, Spens. This was like his second stencil and I think it turned out STUNNING. *high five to all crafty metalheads*

He had this to say:
I had an image and did a vector drawing off of it. printed the stencil (made from the vector drawing) out across 4 pieces of pronter paper which i taped together and cut out. Used house paint to fill in the stencil.

Apparently, it is Abbath from the band Immortal, which is apparently good.  Cheesy Its on a shirt.

2  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Valentine's Day / "I like you" valentine ideas on: January 09, 2008 05:30:04 PM
Okay, so I just started dating my current boyfriend over xmas holidays and although we've been really good friends for four years, I dont want to get him Valentines Day stuff that is TOO gushy or has "I LOVE YOU" plastered all over it because, honestly, not there yet Tongue

He's really into film-making and our first date was seeing Sweeney Todd. He likes to ski and is a general nerd, trekie and HOTTIE.

3  Halloween / Halloween Costumes / Halloween Masquerade... HELP!!! on: October 08, 2007 01:43:22 PM
I'm in charge of dances this year at my high school (props to student council) and i have VERY LITTLE idea of how to decorate a gym full of mostly 9th and 10th graders. It is a masquarde in a dress up sense, not a classical masquerade because my school couldnt handle the cool of it. Sad
4  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / i am a pink bunny! on: January 05, 2007 11:34:05 AM

Excuse the bad picture, it was early morning! My friend Steve went to an anime convention and found an awesome pink bunny hat  there for $30. I looked at his and said, "I can make that!" so i did. I  found a pink fleece hat for $5 at Giant Tiger and a matching neckwarmer for $6. I just cut ears out of the neckwarmer, sewed them on and TADA! For $11 I made the exact same thing. Its so warm!

Comments and critism are welcome!! Grin

5  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Finally no more cold in me corsets!! on: November 19, 2006 03:58:54 PM
OKay, this is a creation I threw together from a left over wool hunter jacket someone ripped up and abandonned in my fashion class. I've been looking for something to wear with my corsets thats warm and cute (I cant relinquish the dellusion that its still summer!) and this is what I came up with. The sleeves are off an old hoodie and it goes down to mid-waist in the back.

Excuse the excess tummy and bad hair!! Comments appreciated  ;Dk
6  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Tshirt shorts? But how....?_? on: April 30, 2006 07:43:46 PM
I'm so confused. First off, I'm not very good at sewing at all. I've done the basic tshirt recons which i love but now its summer and i have more tank tops than i can handle!! On eBay i saw some shorts made out of an old tshirt...SO COOL!!! However, sewing the crotch scares me, as I've had a pants failure recently (i ended up just giving up). Any ideas, tips, tuts, anything?? SO appreciated!! Thanks guys!!!
7  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Valentine's Day / Ideas for you, ideas for me on: January 25, 2006 05:19:53 PM
Okay, I come in sorrow. It's valentines day soon and i have crafted my bf nearly, if not EVERYTHING i can think of. I have given him:

-Tshirts: his favorite band shit and hoodie (cheap on ebay) and stenciled him one, plus resized a cute one for him

-Sappy: I made him a box full of fifty reason why I love him, handpainted/decorated by me full of litttle pieces of paper that i rolled up individually and tied in a bow (OMG TOOK FOREVER!!) I made him prescrpition love pills. I've drawn him comics of our wacky adventures. I took a metal working course and made him a heart on a chain with 'thank you' engraved in it so he never forgets how much I appreciate him. A photo album written and decorated by me, full of pictures and writeups about us, our favorite things, ect. Love letter upon love letters...though that never gets old.

-Toys: I make him a sadistic teddy bear (redressed old teddy of mine) complete with leather choker, wrist cuffs and a mask, with duct tape Xs as the nipples. I found a bunch of old small toys at the thrift store and wrote why each reminded me of him (like, a glow in the dark dino, "you are my only light through my dark and dangerous past") I made him a little milk carton, toast and plush domokun cell phone holder out of felt. I made him a hippie sock bunny. A handpainted lead dragon reconstructed for him (he loves to paint warhammer models..i suck in comparison Tongue)

-Practical as it gets: I made him a box out of CD cases from bands he liked. Porn coasters complete with red lace edging. A giant poster of his favorite band. A light switch decoupaged out of his hororscopes. A punk snowman kit (he hadnt ever made a snowman when i met him). A burned CD. Punkified earmuffs. A lime green scarf I knitted. I made him a stocking at Christmas.

And, blowing my last good idea for a gift at Christmas, I made him a full journal with pictures of us and other things he like faded in the background of the lines. We've been together for a year and a half and I've run dry.

I tried my hand at cooking but, lets face it, I suck.

My husband likes to keep all that I give him on this one wall, but he's litterally running out of room. He's quite shy and usually doesnt like getting gifts. But hes a sweetie and can't turn down anything I make. He tells me he just wants a card for Vday...

C'mon guys, I just gave you all these great ideas!! If you know any easy recipes that taste great or ANY ways to really spice up a card, POST!!
8  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Dollar store earmuffs to hardcore...muffs on: January 02, 2006 05:14:44 PM
Happy New year to everyone! This is another Christmas gift to my sweetie, Moridin...I bought a pair of those dollar store earmuffs, the lil plush thing-in-place-of-warmth type ones...anyways its a teddy bear on there. I totally punkified it, wrapped black fabric arounf the top, cut out and replaced the eyes and embroidered (badly) lil mouths with teeth...and of course Moridin's intials on their foreheads.
9  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / A twist on the Domokun cell phone holder on: January 02, 2006 05:05:12 PM
Happy New year guys! After much anticipation, here it is, a domokun cell phone holder...its a giant domokun (made of felt/cardboard) with a slot for my  Moridin's cell phone. I gave it to him for Christmas and he adored it to pieces. My biggest  fear was that i had the measurements off ( i didnt want to give it away by asking him) but it fits like a dream.
comments and critique loved very much Cheesy
10  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Lil red riding hoodie!!=^_^= on: November 03, 2005 04:23:33 PM
HEY! *excitement!* First time poster, long time looker. Amazing job guys! This was my little red riding hood costume for halloween. It looked better with the basket I went trick or treating with. I made it all myself out of this huge ankle length red skirt and giant long sleeved red top. SORRY ABOUT THE NO BEFORE PICS! I hate it when people dont take before pics but I didnt think that this would turn out (I'm famous for my lack of crafty-ness). Comments and critism are appreciated!!

* oh and ignore my weird lil expression; all the red lipstick went to my head. Sadly, I really AM that pale but the red exaggerates >.<
