11  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Do you have knitting dreams? on: June 22, 2006 07:41:53 AM
Who dreams about knitting? lol Do you dream about a project you are making? Or do you dream of an off the wall, never-seen-before , project? Do you wake up and cast on for said dream knit?

I just had an off the wall dream about some strange baby blanket from hell. The color was beautiful though. A soft blue. Now I have the desire to find that exact shade, but I won't be making that blanket. It was so weird I couldn't even begin to describe it.
12  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Kidlet Tank on: June 14, 2006 02:01:42 PM
Just finished this tank for my 4 yr old:

She's so in love with it, but silly mama messed up the straps (made a little too long) so I'm gonna have to get her a little white shirt or under tank to wear with it. Otherwise it's all good. I plan on making her more of them. Here in southeast Texas she will get plenty of use from them!

14  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Quickie Floppy Hat {image heavy} on: May 16, 2006 08:41:02 PM
Ok, I was bored yesterday and thought I'd pass the time doing something productive. I made this little floppy brim hat. Whipped it up in about an hour .(not bad) It was made using some yarn I got through my local Freecycle website. Just some random (but pretty) brown acyrlic. Please excuse my pics, I'm ready for "night night" and all I have to use is our webcam right now. (hope the pics work seeing as how it's my first pic post) here goes nothing:

This is what it looks like (sometimes the brim flips up and gives it a different look)

close up of stitches

me wearing it...and you can see some of the true color. Forgive the wonky-ness. I just plopped it on.

ok I'll be nice....k now it's time for bed!
15  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Have you ever done this? on: May 08, 2006 08:58:57 AM
Have you ever gone shopping and bought clothes thinking "I can knit (add pretty pattern thingy here) to go with it!"   Cheesy I did that yesterday. I wanted some tanks because it's so freak'n hot here already. I bought them in colors that I had in my yarn stash. Grin I've been planning all day.
16  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Holy Knit! A Sock! on: April 26, 2006 01:52:11 PM
I finally, finally knitted my first sock! It's an ugly thing, but it's mine. It has a little hole in it where I fudged up, but it's mine. I think it's too small, but it's mine. I can't find my camera, but.... damn..... I will and gosh darn it I will post for all the world to see my ugly holy small sock!
17  KNITTING / Projects from the Stitch 'N B**ch Books by Debbie Stoller / Skully tips? on: November 03, 2005 12:19:40 PM
Hi hi. New here. I bought SNB awhile ago, and have always wanted to make "Skully". Thing is that I've never made a sweater before. I started making a baby sweater, but I never finished (bad me). I've never done intarsia either and that kinda freaks me out. Did anyone ever run into problems making "skully"? Do you have any tips or tricks? I really want to do this one. Thanks.
