TANK GIRL SWAP: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=355425.0

I would love to do a Tank Girl related swap. Old-school or new Tank Girl, movie or comics. As long as it's TG related.
Anyone else interested? There has been talk about a TG swap before, but it never happened (I think).
Maybe, a few years later, more people are up for it.

Details of swap:
ROUND TWO of the swap we had last year:
This is a swap for all you hoopy froods out there, whether you're a Vogon, a Hooloovoo or simply a human being. You can craft anything H2G2 related, because this swap isn't related to just one of the many formats the series appeared in (think: the books, radio broadcasts, game, movie, tv).
You will have exactly 42 days to craft the items worth 6 points for your partner, so there's no need to panic over the send out date.
Your crafts need to include at least one big item OR two medium sized.

For some inspiration, check out the gallery of round one.

Big item: 3 points

15  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy Swap ROUND 2? on: April 22, 2010 03:39:06 AM

How about a round two of the H2G2 swap we had last year? I'd be willing to organize it in May (so we can start crafting again on towel day!).

What do you think?

16  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / A Clockwork Orange 45 Cross Stitch, Alex on: April 20, 2010 02:01:11 AM
I stitched this Alex piece at a 45 angle, so the lines between the stitches are diagonal. It took some serious math to figure out how much fabric I needed for it (actually, I only had to use the Pythagoras' theorem).
I also added a Space Invader in the corner because I originally intended my first cross stitch to be a Space Invaders screenshot.

Again, a picture of the back can be found on my Flickr xSTITCH set.

Edit// 5043(I think?) stitches on black 18-count aida
17  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Hellboy Cross Stitch on: March 07, 2010 04:13:37 AM
Finally finished this Hellboy cross stitch, 6500 stitches on 18-count black Aida. Picture of the back can be found on my Flickr xSTITCH set.

18  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Two Portions of Brains Please... on: January 12, 2010 11:01:36 AM
I recently finished this brains stitch. Since I have to use photoshop a lot for school, I thought it would be fun to do a stitch with a 'transparent' photoshop background. And I love zombies and fluorescent green, so that's how I came up with this:

Made using fluor green floss from DMC light effects, which isn't the easiest to work with and definitely not to photograph.
I've also uploaded a picture of the first cross stitch I've ever made, which was done last March. It's the cover of a Bad Brains album (I love them Cheesy ), here it it:

Apparently I didn't know how to properly mount a piece back then Tongue

More (and better) pictures at my Flickr xSTICH set.
19  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Tank Girl Cross Stitch on: December 08, 2009 07:35:59 AM
It's Tank Girl! Based on the well known cover of Tank Girl and her rocket bra, I stitched up this:

Another comic book cross stitch after doing a Watchmen one Cheesy

It took me a couple of weeks to finish, it's done on 18-count black aida, and has 5400 stitches. It hasn't been washed, ironed or mounted, but you get the idea Tongue
20  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Watchmen Cross Stitch - Rorschach! on: October 26, 2009 04:54:36 AM

Stitched on 18 count black aida. 22.500 stitches, the quote is actually readable in real life.

I loved stitching this, I certainly did learn a lot.
