51  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Re: Why are sewing patterns so lame? on: May 15, 2004 02:01:15 AM
I don't know! I have the same problem, I'm always looking for cool things to make from patterns and there's none to be found. Some of the vintage vogue things are cool, if that's your sort of thing. I end up modifying lame patterns I already have to make cute things, usually, or copying things I buy. If anybody else knows, I'm curious too!

That is so cute. I love that style, especially the ribbon. Is there any possibility of a tutorial?

Ps: Excuse me for being clueless, but HOSA?

That's so cool, I'm going to run off and find some shirts that don't fit me anymore and make some summer tops!

Thanks! The sublimestitching site is an awesome find. I'm still not exactly sure what to do, but I've got some ideas. I'll post pics when I finish with it!

My mother gave me this dress that fits perfectly, and very nice, but it's completely not my style. It's a navy blue polo-shirt style dress. Does anybody have any ideas how I can make it more bohemian or rock-ish without totally destroying it?
