5  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Looking for guinea pig and chinchilla knitted toy pattern. on: November 26, 2005 02:31:44 AM
Please, please plllllllease someone tell me where I can find a free pattern to these animals.  Lots of my friends have guinea pigs and I want to make knitted versions of their pets for Christmas.

The chinchilla one is for me.. I love chinnies and want to make a knitted one for myself.

I've seen so many other patterns for other animals.. but haven't come across a guinea pig or chinchilla pattern.

Thank yoooooou
6  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Re: Where did I see these videos for continental knitting? on: November 26, 2005 02:26:43 AM
This is another site.. they only feature the pure basic stitches, but they show the continentals.

7  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Re: What stitch to use??? on: November 26, 2005 02:22:33 AM
That scarf is gorgeous.. they tell you how to do the eyelet holes.

"Row 8  (Eyelet row) Knit 1, *k2tog, yo; repeat from * until 1 stitch remains, knit 1;

knit 1 stitch, knit 2 stitches together, and yarn over. (repeat the knit 2 stitches together and yarn over part until 1 stitch is left) then you knit the last stitch. I take it the ribbon will thread throiugh the mini holes that you will get when you knit 2 stitches together and yarn over.

I love that pattern.. it just looks so "happy".

I want to knit a chinchilla or a guinea pig doll but I haven't come across any of these animal patterns anywhere.

Has anyone even seen one of these?

Thank you so much.. I've been looking all over for crochet or knitting toy patterns online but all the ones I come across aren't that good.

You rock for this one!
