11  KNITTING / Projects from the Stitch 'N B**ch Books by Debbie Stoller / Re: Under the Hoodie-- pocket shaping HELP! on: June 17, 2004 07:58:40 PM
i remember that i assumed that it was a typo too, i just repeated the 6 rows until it was long enough.  i dont even think i really kept count.  the pattern for the pocket was definately kinda weird, but if you just keep repeating the 6 row pattern it will turn out fine.  good luck!

geekgirl....im now working on the hood of mine too.  i made the medium, im a 38 inch bust, and mine seems to be plenty big.  if you have a 33 inch bust and you made the small, then i think it should definately fit.  also if you measured all the peices and they are the right sizes, then i wouldnt worry about the sleeves, i would imagine they will be ok when you sew them on.  i did make my sleeves 21 inches long instead of 19 because i like to pull them over my hands.  (it was also kinda an accident)  i hope this helps you.  this is only my second sweater, but i would imagine that if everything measures right, then you are doing good.  good luck.

strangelittlemamma....yep i was able to get the gauge with the lana doro on my circulars (also using the denise needles).  i would think that if you had to go up to a 9 then you should do the ribbing on size 8 needles.  good luck!

im also obsessed with knitting and yarn.  its all i want to do.  any spare moment i have during the day i knit..... i even procrastinate on things i know i should be doing   Undecided  (but shhhh..thats a secret)

good karma....im done with the pocket..im at the shaping the neck part, and i didnt find that the pocket was nearly as hard as it looks (i was really intimidated by it too).  im also a new knitter, ive only been knitting for a few months, and im having a ton of fun with this pattern.  i havent had any super stressful, almost to tears moments....well yet.  good luck.   Grin

im making the medium out of lana d'oro.  and i ordered 8 skeins of the main color (880 yards), 7 skeins of the 2nd color (770 yards), and 2 of the 3rd color.   i think im going to have a good bit left over, but i like to order extra just to be sure, plus i can make something else out of it.  you probably might as well just get a bag of the main color.

toothpaste helps for pimples.  it cuts the healing time in half.  i read that in a magazine about 5 or 6 years ago.
