11  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Harry Potter Marauder's Map replica on: August 24, 2009 07:00:48 PM
I made this cross-stitched slogan for Alexandra-the-Great for the "Favorite Movie in a Box" swap. This is the saying one must say to have access to the whereabouts of everyone in Hogwarts via the Marauder's Map! (Wow, that sounded nerdy!)
12  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Harry Potter Extendable Ears on: August 24, 2009 06:57:23 PM

I made my interpretation of Fred and George Weasley's extendable ears device for Alexandra-the-Great for the "Favorite Movie in a Box" swap. I basically just made felt ears, embroidered them, stuffed them, and put a piece of yarn to connect them.

My husband, being sneaky with the extendable ears!
13  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Beads: Completed Projects / Woodsy looking earrings on: August 01, 2009 11:20:32 PM
I got these beads for a fantastic price at Hobby Lobby a while back because they were seasonal. (Fall.) I love dangly earrings, and I based these off another pair of earrings I found at an antique shop.

14  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / Star Wars Rebel Logo by amateur artists! on: July 13, 2009 08:20:06 PM
My husband and I worked together on this painting to decorate our computer room in our apartment. I used my mad cutting skills to cut out a picture he had printed on 2 separate pages from the internet. He taped them together, and then he traced the logo onto a blank canvas. Then, he painted over it.

What do you think? We would like some feedback!

The next project in mind is the Imperial logo that can be seen on the computer screen right under the rebel logo!

15  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / The Latest in Foul Arts and Crafts on: July 12, 2009 04:53:22 PM
I got the alphabet from the book "Alphabets Galore" and I bought the frame at Goodwill. I tried to paint it just plain red, but it was a disaster so I ended up adding a little black paint and it turned out this weird cherry wood color. Now I just need to find a place to hang it in the apartment.http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2554/3714143435_749c334d13.jpg?v=0
16  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / NSFW Framed Greeting on: July 09, 2009 12:13:40 PM
I bought the "Alphabets Galore" book from Hobby Lobby, and I've been trying out some fun new fonts to decorate my plain old apartment.

It even matches the ugly ass wallpaper that came in my kitchen! (Sort of...)

17  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / NSFW C*nt-sicle bookmark for my husband on: July 01, 2009 03:27:45 PM
Okay, in order to truly appreciate this, you have to be a fly on the wall in our house. My husband and I have the worst mouths. One of us will ask, "What are we gonna eat for supper?" Then, the other will usually reply something along the lines of.. "Oh.. cuntsicles," or another favorite of ours is "cockburgers."

So, when I bought a book of cross stitch alphabets, I had to make this for him:

18  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Californication on: June 29, 2009 09:50:33 PM
Has anyone ever mentioned a Californication swap? (The Showtime series). I have recently become obsessed with the series. There are lots of cool ways one can craft for it, but it may require getting creative.

I am just measuring interest.
19  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / My first embroidery on cardstock on: June 24, 2009 04:11:12 PM
I was sort of experimenting with some cardstock I had, so this bookmark looks really amateur-ish. It's an idea to work on perfecting.
20  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Hearts and Birds shirt on: June 24, 2009 04:09:10 PM
Thanks to Badbird and her bad-ass blog (http://zuill.us/andreablog/2009/01/03/januarys-embroidery-pattern/)

I created this lovely shirt for my 2 year old godchild.

I bought a little girl's 2T shirt at Target for 4.99 and used some stabilizer on the back.

Whaddya think?
