I stitched this up the night before my friend's baby shower. It's from an Aunt Martha package of alphabets.

Thoughts?

I am totally an English/grammar/literature nerd, but my husband is a physics/math/engineer/gaming nerd, so he could help me with ideas for those kinda nerds!

This sounds like a fun, easy swap!

I love the earring holder and from the other person I love the dangly charm bracelet. Awesome stuff!
27  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Claddagh wall hanging on: March 21, 2010 08:31:14 AM
I used tinting to do this claddagh wall hanging. I embroidered the pattern on a tea towel, then stretched it around a canvas and stapled with a staple gun, cutting off the excess fabric. Did I mention that using a staple gun is really fun?

28  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Celtic fleece. on: March 21, 2010 08:28:41 AM
I made the following blanket for plucky in the "Luck of the Irish" swap. I have been buying fleece blankets for cheap at Wal-Mart, and I love this medium! It's something cool to embroider on besides tote bags.

The colors don't photograph well, but I embroidered gold Celtic knots on each corner of the blanket.

I am making some pretty good progress, but when I have off for a WHOLE week next week (Spring Break--teaching has its perks), I will finish everything up!
30  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / Re: old fashioned yarn hangers! on: March 21, 2010 08:20:27 AM
Aww!! My mom had one of these left over from high school, and when she let me have it as a child, I was so impressed. She did grow up in the 70's! I wish I still had that.. I think it's gotten thrown away over the years.
