Hi all! I'm thinking about making a spindle and was wondering what, besides a wooden toy wheel, could be used. The CD ones look interesting, but how does it attach? If this has already been asked, I'm sorry for repeating. Thank you!

Hi everyone! I have four skeins of Lion's Fisherman Wool that I would like to dye. My plan is to use three or four colors for a stripey effect when knit up. What would be the best method for making 1600 yards of yarn all the same "dye lot"? I've only ever used a little pot of Rit on the stove, so I'm lost. Please help!

Hi everyone! I just have a story. I love to crochet but have wanted to knit for years. I finally got it to click recently and am ecstatic about it. I love yarn and making things with yarn. I'm excited about the projects that I have seen here. You all have been so inspirational to me. I love reading all of your advice and seeing what you do. I have my clapotis and razor cami patterns printed out, waiting for me to try. I have a pattern from Knitty Gritty that I'm ready to start on (I love that show!). Are there any other must-knit patterns that I should print out and aspire to? Thanks again for your indirect help, and direct help on the questions I've asked in the past. Craftsters are the best!

Hi1 I saw on Knitty Gritty how to dye yarn to make it self-striping, but I can't seem to find the directions on the diy website. Do any of you know how to do it or where I can find directions? (I watch it at 6am on hgtv and wasn't awake enough, I guess, to pay complete attention) Thanks!

Hi everyone. I've been enjoying all of the creativity here for awhile, and I'm sure you can help me. My favorite boots are starting to wear out, and I would like to cover them with some new fabric. They are stretchy, so I thought some panne velvet would look fun. Could someone please recommend an adhesive that would work with stretch? Is there a better idea? Thanks!
