I received today from wax51 - I had to take pics pretty quickly and I wasn't able yet to go through everything in the jam-packed envelope because my crazy 2yr-old was "helping" me, but I can tell that I'm going to have a lot of fun with this stuff!


There's a ton of vintage stuff:  valentines, playing cards, electronics magazine, book pages, etc.  Bits of ribbon and other little things.  Some stickers (some already claimed by kid...) scrapbook papers, paint chips - all kinds of stuff!

She also sent a cool ATC and a hand-drawn picture of a bird:

I got a really amazing mug rug from Imafundork - the front is all paper-pieced and hand stitched!  I can't imagine the patience it took to do this, but I am incredibly impressed!

I love the fabric choices, it's really cute.  My pictures are kind of washed-out and I wish I didn't have to make them so small to make Craftster happy - this rug deserves bigger!

I received a very cute and very unique set today from Sewarty:

First, the ATC was mounted on top of a little box which held the Dotee and the inchies - the ATC itself is very pretty:

The Dotee is so cute - the first shot isn't so great, he looks a little pitiful the way he was laying on my counter, but I had to shoot quickly because my daughter was obsessed with him and kept grabbing:

I received an adorable mug rug from Weez yesterday - I love the fabrics, and I love that the colors are bright and cheerful but still kind of muted and vintage-y looking.  Also love the use of denim, which I hadn't thought of but is really cute!




she also sent some really cute scrap fabrics - I think I can come up with a few uses for these

I received from sewingcybermom on Tuesday - I was so spoiled!

She sent me both tea and espresso - plus little demitasse (sp?) cups and an espresso maker!  This is especially awesome because I have one, but the handle broke off so it's been very dangerous to use - I risk burning the crap out of myself and spill half my coffee every time I use it...


I also got some knitting needles/supplies and two skeins of lovely brown alpaca wool - along with a picture of the alpaca that provided the wool!


Two pairs of fleece slippers - I need to know what pattern these were made from - my husband would love some, and my daughter loves them too!


And finally, an adorable mug rug (I needed something to put drinks on so bad - my kid destroyed all the coasters we had!) and a beautiful patchwork scarf from my wists - I love the colors and materials she chose for these as well!


And because it was cute - the pic I took of my rotten kid "helping" me unpack the box - notice how she immediately stole the green slippers!

Now that my crazy weekend is over, I'm finally getting a chance to post pics of the great package I received from slingmomma:

A lovely handspun alpaca(!) headband (yes, it fits my enormous head!) and a crocheted scarf - the yarn color matches the handspun perfectly, which is impressive!

A coffee cup with a sewn cozy and a bag that matches the cup (my kid stole the bag to stuff her things into then yell SURPRISE!!! and present it to us...), a kleenex cozy, and some delicious-looking teas - one of which has valerian in it (which really works to relax, BTW) and I'm about to go enjoy some now....
Thank you!  It's been warm here the past few days (in the 30s, lol...) but the scarf will surely be put to good use come Wednesday when it's going to be 10....

It's hard to see in the picture, but it's very 3-D.  The fish in the middle is raised off the background, the seaweed is raised and the coral is painted on the aquarium "glass" which is actually plastic from a juice bottle!

One of my themes, obviously, was fairly tales   I wish I could draw like that!  So pretty - especially the snow white dotee!  Thank you K!

The Dotee is made from polymer clay!  I have absolutely no skills in that area, so I'm super-impressed!  The hands on the clock even move!  But for some reason my favorite part is the fish inchies - I love the water-color shading and his smirk!  Thanks J!
