So, are those magnets to be sewn to the inside, to be invisible closure basically?  If so, that's just awesome Smiley  I'd definately give that a shot.

I made my April bag tonight.  I'm going to be making more, as I finally got my hands on a bolt of Craft Fuse, so now my Works In Progress can become Finished Objects Smiley

Here's the first - I want this trim in every color of the rainbow, it's so awesome, and so easy to apply!

I call her....Diva   Cheesy

I think I'll carry to work tomorrow to show off   Grin  It feels so "look at me" when I do, but I ALWAYS get comments Smiley  Plus, if I use one of my zipper pouches to actually carry my goods, then the purse doesn't get that "used" look of having loose stuff in it.  Somehow, even though I don't carry food, I get crumbs at the bottom of every purse I use.  You'd think I held it under my mouth while I ate! Cheesy

Can't wait to see spiderlady! Smiley

Here's what I've been up to.  These seem to take a surprising amount of time, but probably wouldn't if I didn't square the corners.  Roll Eyes  But then, I'm picky Smiley

My latest litter of creations:

And, the runt of the litter, whom I seem to favor...:

These were ALL made of fabric samples I had on hand, and most are lined in luxurious silk or satin.  I didn't post those pics because, well, there'd be like, 30 pictures on here then.

Woo!  Took a short hiatus, then received my swatches (apparently, they're discontinuing the service, I'm sad!) and got inspired.  Not a purse, but a bag Smiley  This is the worst picture ever in my collection, but I have no CD's for my camera (it's my dad's, all high tech and high res fab, but uses mini cd's and I have used them all up!).  so, here's a scanned pic of it.  The fabric is a nice, mid-toned grass green with blues and greens, and the flower is from a giant bag of faux lei's I found at the thrift store about 8 months ago.  This is just a zipper pouch, and I wish you could see the zip, it's a nice light green that's really fun with the fabric.  I'll take more pics later and edit this post so you can see the funky interior too.  Technically, I'm wondering if it's not a type of flooring, but maybe it's just a nubby upholstery.

I received GORGEOUS jewelry from ebeth!  Thanks so much!  She "threw in" earrings, because I needed something to go with the pretty necklace she made LOL   Cheesy  Ok - I tried to take good shots, ebeth you should post yours too!  The silver is so shiny my flash seemed to take out the detail, and no flash resulted in super dark pics.  So here's the bestest I got....

Action Shot

Necklace Action Shote

Earrings lying down, taking a break

The best detail shot I could get

Best detail shot I could get of the necklace

I adore the fact that they're not matchy matchy, but they coordinate perfectly.  AND the earrings don't match, but they do, ya know?

Thanks SO much ebeth!  I ADORE them!   Grin Grin Grin Grin

THANKS!  I have one more - this and the polka dot one were supposed to be done for Valentine's Day, but I was laid up with chicken pox (gah!  an excuse to learn amigurumi!  The people at work officially believe I'm crazy, because of all the little stuffies on my desk now), so I'm finally getting around to them....

Pretty butterflies, and EVIL interfacing that needs to burn in HELL!!!! BTW GirlyGirlBags, this stuff MELTS through your fabric if your iron is too hot.  This might be common knowledge, but twas common knowledge I did not posses.  Never, Never again.  Now...*pokes around stash* where is my beloved craft fuse?

Annnnd....the EVIL melty spots....grrr

Crap of the month!  Whee!!!

39  ATTACK of the polka dots! (3 imgs) in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by meanbean on: February 19, 2006 08:25:03 PM
Heh, so I like polka dots, I was super excited when someone ordered this.  But honestly, it was a pain, because I just learned arigurumi while I've been sick (adult chickenpox, ACK!), so I'm aching to get back to my green flying pig Smiley

Anywho - here it is.....in all it's polka and dotted glory

The envelope in there is just a card that goes out with all my orders Smiley
