Thanks qazicat - I now have every book the library has by that woman, on hold...can't wait to try them! Here's my April bag - it's not fancy or anything, but it's purrrfect to hold my new New Moon pads ^^FRONT^^ ^^BACK^^ ^^blurry interior - my camera didn't want to focus on the inside for some reason I added the little handle, in case I need to throw my id and whatnot in, and use it for a mini purse

I'd like to claim a FQ each of # 6 & 7, the lavender herb fabrics! They'll make adorable hot pads List in a sec.... From Left to Right 1) Cotton off white with gold snowflakes..this is a little washed out, detail pic below - approx 1/2 yard, maybe slightly less. 2) Dark navy cotton with tiny white stars...sorry I didn't put anything in there for size reference! - 1/4 yard 3) HOT Pink polka dotted corduroy. This stuff is awesome...I wish JoAnn's carried it more than just in winter - about a FQ I would guess, this ones slightly odd shaped Hopefully this gives you a better idea of this fabric. It's really pretty in real life! 4) The color isn't quite right here, this is a BRIGHT pink poly/lycra jersey stretch material. It seems to have the weave for breathable clothing, like athletics. - I have a whole ROLL of this - I'll send more than 1/2 yard if you'd like, we can work it out off the board 5) This is a subdued lime green stretch blend of 90 poly/10 lycra, the poly is microfiber. It's really soft! - I have a whole ROLL of this too I'll send more than 1/2 yard if you'd like, PM me *still have some available* 6) Navy with light off white or light pink (can't tell) pinstriping, is also a poly/lycra blend - If you want more than 1/2 yard PM me 7) Cotton textured print with flowers, size is 32" x 57.889" according to the tag (I bought it and never found the perfect use for it), it's decently thick, would make a nice summertime something8 ) Thin cotton, pink with darker pink roses on it. This is about 1/4 of a yard 9) Medium weight dark pink cotton with multi colored confetti and yellow stars on it - about 1/4 yard10) Light and medium blue striped cotton, it's kind of thin, feels a little like gauze but isn't - about 1/4 yard Ergh - this is only 7 fabrics available - I'll add more when I get home tonight if no one's claimed me I'm off to dinner, then I will add more fabrics! Here They Are! 11) Cream shimmer cotton - this a heavier cotton, the texture you see is actually tone on tone scrolling and I think flowers, in a shimmer cream, while the background is matte cream. It's kind of old fashioned looking, and is left over from a Victorian costume I made - I have about 1/4 to 1/2 yard 12) Fantastic Green Corduroy - Just like it looks, it's good and strong, and looks awesome made up. - about 1/4 plus a smaller rectangle that could make a pocket or something fun 13) Bright Yellow Polka Dots - This is home dec cotton, super strong. - about a FQ 14) Brown Striped Corduroy - This is a nice, fine wale - the spottys you see are fuzzys from the ends of this that the fine wale doesn't want to give up! - slightly more than a FQ 15) FREEBIE - this is a nice brocade burgandy print that I never used. It's slippery, but worth it, it looks so nice done up! It's an unused Fat Eighth - I'll throw it in with any claim if you'd like, mention it in your PM

okay, j, that's totally cute. I love bags like that with just enough pockets I made some progress tonight in Knittiva's birth (long, arduous..etc. Having never given birth, I still know this does not compare...however, I don't know what else to call it) Here's what I've come up with, since I'm dividing up the interior... A more up N down sort of pic... And, a fuller bag shot... Now, I'll make a slightly larger section for other half, to hold my wallet, keys, etc. I'm now getting concerned as to how I'll actually put the shell and the interiors together. Has anyone constructed something like this, and have pointers? Should I go about dividing it up a different way? I started out trying to put stiff dividers in wide side to wide side, instead of short end to short end, but I couldn't wrap my head around the logistics of it. Now, I'm having a heckuva time with the logistics of making two gusseted liners and attaching them. Maybe because it's way past my bedtime.....hrrrmm. .. any tips/help/advice/warnings are welcome!!!

Spiderlady, what an awesome purse. I love it when purses are made from something they "shouldn't" be I'm working on a new prototype, I'm thinking of calling Knittiva (as in, Knitting Diva ). It will have specialized sections for my yarn, a pocket just for needles, and an area for regular purse stuff. I'm going to be commuting to my new job via public transport, so I'm preparing to make the most of the quiet hours I will have suddenly on my hands In case anyone's interested, here's the progress pics - this is only the outside so far. 100% constructed from samples that were 100% free...FREE!!!! Like I will be at 5pm on Friday!!!!! (okay, now I'm getting the "short timer's" thing) okay, so here's one side - And here's the other - It can be a b* to make those danged seams line up! But I did it! Here's the sides - AND even the bottom lines up! My one concern is that this is constructed from suede, so can I iron the seams out flat? I ironed on interfacing, but that was on the backside. I'm not liking the non-crispness of the seams right now. Anyone know?

I am so excited! I have my first arm nearly done! 7 rows of ribbing and I'll be able to wear it And, I'm enough of a freak to wear it mateless while I knit up the mate, at work. mwahahahahahaha - good thing I'm leaving, it doesn't matter if they think I'm crazier than they thought I'll post progress pics tonight. *EDITED For Pics: I'm such a dork, but this is truly the first knitting project I've EVER finished, so I'm proud So here's the warmer - it's pretty hard to take a pic of your own hand... And here's an obscene close up - my stitches look loosey goosey to me, but they look okay overall...
