1  BATH AND BEAUTY / Bath and Beauty: Completed Projects / Re: strawberry swirl soap on: July 13, 2010 08:07:10 PM
I am doing Cold Process Soap. the color I have is called Ultramarine Pink. It says it is suppose to be a nice light pink, but I got an electric ultraviolet purple. Not a back purple color, just not what I was hoping for.

Sorry, stupid question. I am new to soap making and have not yet started to superfat. When you guys say superfat, is it already calculated in the recipe? Or do I have to figure out what 8 % of those oils and do it from there? Also, Does it matter what oils are used to super fat?
Thank  you!

5  CRAFTY BUSINESS ADVICE / Crafty Business Discussion / Re: How can I possibly get good photos of these? on: April 30, 2007 01:35:48 PM
try this:

on a sunny day go out side to shadey side of the house(but not under a canapy or patio covering). set up a small table and backdrop, nothing with patterns,or it will drown out your item. make sure there is no sun glare invading your shade,or it will give too much shine on your object.

I do this with my items that I take photos of.

good news altoid tin fans... i was just on the altoid site and it says in the  FAQ's (frequently asked questions) that the 10 oz. sizes will be coming out right about now. it says they only do the 10 oz. for the the holidays such as christmas! so keep an eye out for these!
