i love this bag!!

dude you use the tulle that comes on the rolls?  i recently purchased a roll of tulle for a baby shower and it had 25 yards of tulle on it.. if you used the rolls, how many yards did you need to make this purse? if not, i will have to experiment, because that is a loverly idea!

three cheers for deviance at work!

most of my "creativity" at work is located in my shoes! i have covered my headset for the phone in sequins too (it gets a lot of attention; everyone loves it)

6  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Re: Help Whats the best way to make a replica of this shirt? on: June 25, 2005 07:35:32 PM
if he silk screens, that may be quite expensive.. i've never done it but i've heard its expensive.. you should check out the silk screening threads....

i think if you were to use iron ons (especially on a dark shirt, unless you use dark iron ons) you would have the filmy background in all the letters and spaces between words.. you've probably noticed it on the edges of iron on projects before

another alternative you may want to consider is free hand writing or painting it directly onto the shirt... i know there are good fabric markers out there... but i can't make any brand recomendations...

if you really want the shirt to be special (and have a lot of time to work on it) you could embroider...

8  Texas / Texas: Central / Re: Visiting Austin for a week. Where should I go? on: June 23, 2005 08:31:22 PM
you must go to South Congress... just ask whomever you are staying with. it is an entire street of independant stores. my favorite of these, hands down, is Parts & Labour!!! a store that only sells items handmade here in Texas... two (maybe more) of craftster's sponsors are sold there: naughty secretary club and sublime stitching.

i promise you this store will make your trip, plus the gals that own/operate it are soo nice, im sure they will help you plan the rest of your trip!
