LRS and caeebe explained exactly what I want to know.  Yes, the joining is decorative and gives the garment a delicate and professional finish.

I don't mean to do that way.  I want a way to crochet some kind of stitchs from the right side to join two pieces.  The joined row (or column) shows a very pretty pattern.  Too bad that I lost the picture of the sweater.
84  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / How to crochet two pieces together? on: November 06, 2005 05:06:30 AM
I have seen a crocheted top with in a store.  The stitches are just double crochet  and crochet  two.  But when join the pieces such as the front to back, sleeve  to armhole,  the joint is crocheted with a beautiful line.  I have tried so many times and could not get a good way to do so.  Can someone help me to figure out the technique?

85  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Discussion and Questions / Where to get the elastic string for bracelets on: November 05, 2005 05:35:33 AM
The bracelets using elastic string through the holes in the back of colorful and various shaped chips are very popular in the stores.  I was wondering the following:

1. Where you can buy those chips?
2. Where you can buy the elastic string?  The string is very strong and kind of transparent.  It is not like the elastics for sewing.

Thanks!
