1  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Embellished book cover on: July 12, 2008 10:19:24 PM
It is a bit difficult to decide what catergory my work should go in. Technically, it's crazy quilting, I would call it fibre art, but it seemed to best fit here...

This is a book sleeve I made to cover a memory book for my step daughters 21st

2  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / More "crazy" totes on: February 06, 2007 02:35:56 AM

More of my 8" totes. These are toned down crazy quilting for those who do not appreciate the art of embellishment. They also require a whole lot less time, which is great when it comes to selling them.
All of these are sold. YAY!!!
3  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / "Vintage Girl" Crazy Quilted tote on: February 06, 2007 02:15:50 AM

This bag is made with an 8" crazy quilted block.

Sorry, bit short of words tonight, but you get the picture. You ask and I'll answer Wink

4  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Pink Fairy bag- got pic now on: December 02, 2005 07:19:18 PM
Must start by saying
"thank god that Craftster is back!!". Could we have gone on much longer? I don't think so....
Anyway, the little number above is for my soon to be 11 yr old, step daughter.
She is a Barbie freak, so I'm hoping the pink will be appreciated.

5  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Crazypatch Sha Sha Dream Bag on: November 27, 2005 02:53:13 AM

I loved this pattern when I saw it, and wanted to give it a go. I really like the way it has turned out, but I would not make a pieced bag with this pattern again. It got very bulky to sew up.

This is my Natty Girl Sha Sha Dream Bag. It is for my sister for Christmas.
6  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Crazy Quilt WIP-finished blocks *LOTS* of embroidery!! on: November 03, 2005 02:57:29 AM
Not strictly a finished project...but the blocks are finished!!  Grin That counts...does't it?
I posted here because it's more embroidery than quilting. Most the fabrics are hand done - either dyed, painted, or marbled  (there's the odd commercial piece). The blocks are hand pieced.

7  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / AM I WORTHY?? crazypatched totes-*directions to TUTORIAL pg 4* on: October 30, 2005 03:44:16 AM
Hey, fellow craftstermaniacs!!
I'm loving this board and all the great and original work you guys do.
Here are some pictures (hopefully,if all goes well) of a couple of totes I've made recently.
I would appreciate your opinions. My true passion is crazy quilting, but these bags are quick to put together, and fun to do.

The bags they are on are pre-made - supermarket recycleable calico bags.
The patches are hand sewn and hand stitched on to 'iron on' vylene (sp??), ironed on to the bag then stitched down around the edges.

I used a verigated thread for the stitching on the green bag. It needed the colour.

This is a gift for a friend

awaiting your verdicts.......
